I just carry a bottle of waterless wash/detailer and a bunch of microfiber towels. The rest can wait until I get home.

Works for both. Since I have Xpel on my cars, it is that much easier to clean bugs off.

I recently started carrying a microfiber and detailer with me for bird droppings. I bought a gallon of the Chemical Guys V07 detailer a while back and fill up a spray bottle with it. Saves me some time and money from going to the car wash. My car is fully covered in Xpel and the bird droppings leave stains in the film. Which I've read will heal in the sunlight, but I haven't checked to see if it has. I'm not anal with keeping it spotless. I'll hose it off with the pressure washer at the car wash maybe every 2-3 weeks and when I'm in the mood will dry off the water spots and apply detailer. But it's been raining so much lately that I skip drying and detailing it. I park outside on the side of the street too, so no garage to prevent it accumulating dust and pollen.
The Xpel really cut down how much I wash the car though. I don't feel the need to wash the dirt off to prevent micro scratches. So wiping bird poop off when the car is dirty isn't damaging anything. |

I cary a teenage boy...
My 13 son loves washing it, if we go to Maine 100 miles away he brings 2 buckets and some Car soap with a microfiber mitt @ a self carwash (powerwasher) We got a woman's hair dry towel from amazon, works good It's not a detail but within 15 min it's lost most bugs and lite dirt |

I go with nothing. The car has expel on the front half and the rest of the car is ceramic coated. I'm not super concerned about bird droppings or fallout as I'll just manage that when I get home via hand wash.

I just had Suntek Ultra applied today so I might be a little less obsessive on trips, but I'll still want to get those unsightly bugs off ASAP.

Less of a problem for me probably. I almost never drive on the highway (low kill count on the front bumper) and wash the car weekly.
