Both... Smoke is best I think for HS but clear still better. For me keeping reflectance is sensible. I had smoke film overlays on our 228 and they looked fine on silver.

I just check with an eBay seller that sell a lot of clear front reflectors for other BMW models. He has no intention of stocking them. I have been checking for 5 years without any luck.

I'm more interested in the front ones. The rear ones don't bug me much. If they really did, there are some good options for the back, including those grid-like inserts some sell.
The front clears seem to be real unicorns. Surprising since they exist for other models.
