I have not used the app either. I have seen a few posts stating the app works for a short period of time and then times out, resetting back to the default. About 15 minutes seems to be the consensus.

Anyone have sound of just the slip-on only with stock mid-pipe?

It drones in full open. It can get tiring if just left in open, cruising on the freeway.

Actually tried it the other day with BimmerLink out of curiosity and found that the app needs to running for the valve setting to be functional, otherwise it reverts back to factory settings (auto) after about 10 minutes. Also confirmed that the highway drone is definitely not to my liking.

I have the sound kit. So I leave it in "Off/Auto" when the wife is in the car for the most part. It'll open up at stops and initial takeoffs.

I have the sound kit also but the controller was lost prior to install (toddlers amiright?). There's an Akrapovic app but I would need the PIN to access it, honestly don't feel like ripping up the trunk at the moment to get the PIN.

I might be in the minority but the auto setting is pretty spot on in my opinion. Stays open in 1st and 2nd, under aggressive acceleration, and after about 3800 RPM. Clever engineering really.

The PIN is also printed on the back of the last page of the user manual (if you still have it)

Unfortunately I don't have the original documentation as I'm actually the second owner of the system. Not a big deal, I don't feel like I'm missing anything particularly special with the controller. I may even consider removing the sound kit in the future.

Bumping an old thread as I might be able to score an unused M2 Comp Akrapovic system for my OPF/GPF-equipped CS.

Seems the consensus is there is no physical difference between these systems? I understand that the OPF/GPF-version for CS comes with an ECE approval, but that doesn't matter for me as I plan to run non-stock mid pipes that delete the OPFs which would make that a moot point.

Any reason why I should not get the Comp system for the CS?

I had the Comp system before they came out with the "CS Specific" version. You won't have any issues with the install...

Smile Best H/P and natural sound from

Active Autowerkes out of Miami. Easy bolt up after the stock down pipes using the large single mid pipe plus Valved system back in Stainless Steel, plugs right into the automatic Valving wires with a low, deep NON raspy sound I love. good for 18+ HP which is believable with K&N air filters!
