PCD vs. BMW 101 Experience

Looking at purchasing a 2021 M2C. At the end of the day, I can either custom build one and get the PCD delivery....or, there is a local dealership that has a brand new one on the lot (same specs as build), but is offering a FREE "BMW 101 Experience" which they are saying is the exact same as PCD (hotel, meals, transportation, track time, etc. all covered) but offered to those buyers who buy a new on-the-lot vehicle. There is nothing on the PCD website that mentions this or the title, so I'm a bit skeptical naturally.

Has anyone gone through this with a dealer? How does it work since there is no actual vehicle to pick-up given I would be able to drive the to-be car up there. Thanks for your help and advice!

I had to cancel my PCD back in April due to COVID. That was about the time everything was shutting down. They routed my car to my dealership and gave me a voucher for BMW 101 to do the PCD experience at another time. It's the same thing except they don't deliver your car.

See down at the bottom of this link: https://bmwperformancecenter.com/experiences

I believe they're referring to the program announced for just BMWs purchased in 2020 (assume that means 2021 model year cars too). It's a bit different than the PCD where you drive mainly an example of the car you are taking delivery on in that you drive a range of BMWs.

BMW 101 is better than PCD...Full day driving verses half day if I remember correctly.

Thanks all! Will let you know once I go through the BMW 101 Experience, as we just finalized the purchase at the dealership yesterday. Looking forward to it, especially if it’s anything like the Porsche Experience Center which I did last year. Those 90min were fantastic especially when you’re in a 911 S.

Jealous. Give us the scoop and take pictures! A side-by-side compassion to Porsche would be cool too!
