If it's an awesome deal, why not? Look at it like dating a stripper. Its not like she hasn't had some fun before, whats the difference with you. Get the car and beat on it! (but make sure you get set up with an extended warranty...for free since you're doing them a favor)

3500 miles adds up to a lot of test drives. Assuming a generous 15 miles per test drive, that's 233 test drives in a year. Maybe some salesmen were driving it to/from home? I'd find out more about how the car was used.
Edit: I would also check to see if this was a press car. |

So if they can show the service history and certify it I would consider it. I would also request PPI. You want to know the condition of the engine, chassis, brakes etc. If they start to find excuses walk away. |

It's the best scenario, if you like the car and it's in good shape. The only better scenario is an Executive car from NJ or NC. BTW, paintless dent removal results are UNBELIEVABLE! Last edited by omasou; 08-01-2020 at 05:58 PM.. |

Better to spend ~$700 to upgrade the service plan to BMW Ultimate Care+ which will cover his first brake and rotor change, saving him ~$200 for had he bought the parts alone. Actually, more b/c my X4 parts were $900 sans the service; the M2 parts are more. He can also wait and buy it later as long as the service plan is still active. https://bmwusaservice.com/ultimatecare |

Also, when dealers do that, they typically bake the CPO costs into the price. |

An extra year of warranty on a demo or service loaner car I would consider a necessity.

All good advice. How long do you plan (or expect) to keep the car?
I once bought a (non-BMW) demo because the salesman was driving the configuration we wanted. Only 1500 miles on it and not a performance car (crossover/SUV), kept it for 9 years and 170K trouble free miles. But 3500 miles is a lot, especially on an M2C. I guess it would depend on how good the discount was and if you are comfortable with it. |

Wow so many replies already! thank you guys so much for the input. So the deal they showed me would be around 54k for the car. It does have the exec package. as far as having them cpo it for me i have a strong feeling i could have it done.

Is it DCT or manual? Is that 54 out the door (including all taxes and fees and certification)? Personally, I'd rather spend a bit more and get brand new, especially when you consider how people drive demo cars.

My other option would be to wait and find a car thats in blue that someone else has possibly done work to like carbon fiber upgrades and whatnot and purchase it from them. But who knows when that will become available. Cause so far it seems like LBB cars don't go up for sale as often.
