JCZ5 I see you are in NYC (I am too), do you see that the 10% off is regional? Asking because a couple of NYC metro dealers were less than willing to consider 10% when I enquired about a M2C. That said I was earlier in the process than I am now so maybe they sense I was not a serious buyer.

The 10% is regional in the sense that SoCal and NYC metro dealers will typically shy away from this due to their market demographic.

I did receive your DM and will respond shortly for some detailed thoughts.

What's the best available deal for some in New England? My local dealer has 3 M2 Comps on the lot, but so far is maxing out at around $2k savings which doesn't even offset the fact that they only have Dual Clutch transmissions on the lot.

I hear the DC area dealers have stopped the deep discounts too, perhaps because there is no reason to sell at a loss while everything is stalled? I dunno

Seems like a dramatic shift by all dealers to hold steady. Especially the next wave of supply won't come until late July / early August.

Not to mention with States opening up or easing restrictions. There will be pent up buying for the short term aka "revenge buying".

Best of luck out there!

Maybe, I got about that much off my Z4M in 2008. We are still in the denial phase, the stock market is riding pretty high for no good reason.

Late to the party as usual but does anyone know if these ~10% discounts are still around and, if so, where ?

I'm in the market right now and only just now considering a '20 after finding these threads.

Over the last 4 months or so I've been looking at 17-18 mostly and the prices have come down as one might expect over that period but surely a 10% off 2020 model would (much ?) further depress the 17-19 market, no ? I don't see that kind of downward movement in those cars.

I don't really want to go to ~$56K (LBB, DCT, Exec) but if I have to pay mid 40s for an '18 I'm a LOT more likely to stretch to the mid 50s for a brand new car.

TIA

Hi everyone-

Brand new member here. Just got my 12th BMW today. 2020 M2 Comp Alpine/Blk with Orange, Exec, 6MT.

I scored what I consider a great deal today near Baltimore, MD - 9.5% off MSRP. Discount was over $5,800. I shopped 6 total dealerships and received offers from 5 other dealers in the Baltimore/Washington area for 3.5%, 5.0%, 5.4%, 7.7% and 9.4%. off MSRP. When I called back the 7.7% offer, the Client Advisor strangely rescinded the 7.7% offer completely (I've never experienced that before). He wasn't budging anyway, and was only the third best offer, so that didn't matter anyway.

Extremely happy this evening.

I'm in Canada, so slightly different market up here, but so far I've negotiated ~8% off a new to order car so I can choose my spec. I'm looking for black 6mt on blue stitch, which apparently they do not have on the lot anywhere around. I had one other dealer offer me an on the lot car for another $500 less than above, but it did not have speed limit info and had orange stitching. There are definitely deals to be had!

I was offered 4.62% off a car that is in eastern PA. 6hr drive .

Ideal build.

Look at my local taxes lol.

That is the closest car.

Also was talking to a store in Texas but the car had the performance exhaust and tips. Once you combined a marginal discount with shipping it just didn't make sense .

Damn those taxes really kill you. Jealous of people who live in no state tax states haha.

Also it seems that the area dealers in PA all charge the same doc fee of $386. Last year, I recall it was $144. Doc fees always a pure profit play.

Yeah state doc fee just went up in Illinois. It hovered around 160-180 with very small increases over the past 10 years or so since I started buying cars.

I agree that it is profit and that why so many of us avoid certain states

I have not seen the build sheet. But that is the first thing I noticed as well. Not sure how you feel about it, but guessing it costs a pretty penny. There was a post awhile back where a forum member decided to add this after the fact.

Also, other than this trim piece, everything else seems pretty stock.

Early in April I was using the build tool and noticed my ideal build was in transit to my dealer. I reached out to a salesman I know and started the negotiation.
10% off msrp, +$499 doc and normal TTL. Phoenix was pretty flooded with DSG cars so I felt it was a good time to snag up my 6spd!
The car was held up at the Oxnard VDC for a little over a week while they were shutdown.
Very happy.. considering my deal was fairly easy to obtain I'm not sure if something sitting on the lot might have more wiggle room!?
Good luck
