Does this affect non CS models as well?
I.e are m2 comps built in the same time period affected ?
According to this (from an earlier post by another forum member), it's only the M4 and M2CS that have been affected

You're absolutely right. I should have picked that up, so I guess it's M2 C and CS

Checked production date, and squeaked in by a day! Date of Production - 10/15! Dealer confirmed, no recall on mine.

"BMW vehicles that were produced between March 17, 2020 - October 14, 2020." (F87 M2: June 23, 2020 - October 14, 2020)

Because of COVID-19, production stoppage by BMW (as well as by several other major car manufacturers) was rolled out from March 17, 2020 onwards (BMW statement made on March 18, 2020: "Our production is geared towards sales development forecasts – and we are adjusting our production volumes flexibly in line with demand. Since yesterday: We began to shut down our European and Rosslyn automotive plants, which will close by the end of the week. The interruption of production for the mentioned plants is currently planned to run until April 19." - see here).

Production gradually resumed later in Spring 2020.

My M2CS was affected by this recall. My CA also confirmed there were four total with the delivery stop. It sat at the Baltimore port for nearly a month. Luckily, it appears there wasn't any action needed to fix my car - the DCS reports only an "inspection" for the recall at the port.

It was also interesting to note that the odometer reading for the inspection was 2, however it arrived at the dealer with 12 miles on the odometer.

xdarwin13 My car was affected, too but I never heard what the resolution was. How did you find out the miles and that the car was only inspected? I'd be interested in knowing the same info about my car. Thanks!
