Crankhub/Exhaust Camshaft issues?

Gents I know we’ve all heard the crankhub horror stories and threads about this issue on all manor of forums however I’m curious as to how many of any have had this issue on the M2Comp????

I ask as I’m currently going through this problem on my car and it’s with BMW as we speak. Cars done less than 9k miles in over a year and has been stock before and whilst this issue has arisen.

The chassis the S55 resides within doesn't make much difference. There haven't been many all stock cars that have succumbed to the issue but it does happen. Very sorry for your bad luck. Hopefully BMW makes you whole again in short order.

I know that mate but I’m specific about the M2Comp as it seems the latest S55 builds are becoming ever so more troublesome, also it’s an M2 forum

I’ve had a 2016 M4comp stage2 and a 2017 M3comp stage2 and absolutely no issues whatsoever and the mentioned issues were pretty none existent back then.

There’s a good number of latest M4 cars suffering (stock) with crankhub issues around the forums and a few M2Comp, just wondering if anyone on here’s had the issue

Sorry for the late reply gents, not been around much the last 5/6wks. The car left bmw main dealership today on a transporter with engine still in bits. It’s a very very long story but BMW won’t be fixing my car, it’s going to s specialist instead.

Car was running perfectly, it just had the overly loud tappy injectors from cold start which indicates an issue.

Long story as in you flashed with BM3, they found out and declined warranty? Not judging, but just saw you posting on other threads stating you had done just that. This just reinforces my thought process that any tune, at all = crank hub fix...
