Does anyone see a problem with storing the car for winter on the quickjack? Not from the jack's perspective, but from having the suspension hanging perspective.

I see no problem with that. I would however not use the rubber blocks that came with the Quick Jack, and use blocks of wood instead. The rubber would deform slightly.

Good idea, thank you!

Yeah, I wouldn't see any issue with it, it would be similar to storing the car on axle stands. As mentioned, more solid blocks would be good and you would definitely want to have proper jack-point adapters, something like https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...pter/ecs10721/. I use rubber pad adapters normally with the rubber blocks and they're fine for several days but do deform a fair bit.

I have had another vehicle up on the QuickJack that shifted on the rubber blocks which was rather scary (nobody was under it, it was for a summer tire change over) so now I'm really cautious about making sure the frames are on very level/solid ground and the blocks are stable before lifting the cars entirely up in the air.

The QuickJacks are very stable but the car can only be as stable as the blocks & mounting points they're on, so keep those solid and you shouldn't have any issues.

If you go to the track a lot guys will want to use it makes tire swaps a breeze .
I have the same, got the 3500 for my Miata because it's lighter and would be easier to tack to the track. But I've used the 3500 on the M240i, it just barely fits, kind of hangs off a bit. Have you found a way to adapt yours better?

Is the 5000SLX the recommend one to get for the M2C? The other cars in my garage are an E83 X3 and a F56 Mini Cooper but this would mostly be for the M2C.

From what I've seen newer cars are going longer and longer between the jack points. I'd get the EXT instead of the SLX for future proofing. An SLX won't fit between the jack points on the new G20 3-series, so it might not fit between the next 2-series either. The current generation Accord and Civic jack points are also already too long for the SLX.

It would be worth going out and measuring the distance between jackpoints and between wheels on the E83 & F56. The 5000 is likely the right capacity but if you can fit the EXT between the wheels and the jackpoints are in the right locations it will be the better bet.

I have the 5000SLX and it is the right size for the M2 and E36 3-series but for many other vehicles I do have to use the frame extensions which I bought afterwards. You are better off without needing the frame extensions because they do increase the minimum height, I've had to make small wooden ramps for 1 vehicle to sit on so I can slide the SLX + extensions under the jack points.

Thanks. I measured the E83 and it is right in the middle of the SLX's range. No where close to needing the EXT when it comes to the E83.

Just to confirm the 5000EXT will fit under the M2 and also extend to match up with longer wheelbases?
