dv + install

has anyone had any troubles with installing this?

the mechanic said that the metal piece doesn't fit flush like the factory,
that if he sanded it down a bit it would but waiting on reply back from gfb if this is ok or what the problem is.

any one have any experience in this and know what problem might be?

maybe just got defective part. ?

I've no idea what he could be talking about. I fitted one myself, and it fits fine without any sanding.

The top cap-head hex screw is a bitch to remove from the standard part, but not too difficult once you get the correct ball headed hex socket and extensions etc.

I assume you bought the N20 part and not the standard N55; The OG M2 may be an N55 engine, but it has the N20 Diverter Valve.

True indeed, and don't assume that all vendors know this.....

It sort of clicks on.
I did my own and at first seemed like it wouldn't get flush, then got it to click by pinching each corner of the triangle to the solenoid and got it to be flush. There is a groove on it that fits a tiny tab on the solenoid which the mechanic should line up together before pinching.

I hope he didn't mess anything up by sanding it down. If you need a second opinion I can refer you to my mechanic in Dallas.

He didn’t sand. He was waiting on response from gtb.
I just went by and told him what ddk662 said. & I pushed it together. He was little skeptical cause he didn’t wanna break it.
But it pushed on. I get car back today.
Thanks for help !!!!!
