Hail Storm near Munich. M2C Damaged
Just as I was about to get on my flight to Munich, I got work my M2C was damaged in a hail storm and I won't be able to take delivery at the Welt.
Incredibly disappointing!!! I reached out to my CA and he's doing everything he can do to see if one of the M2C from their rental fleet can be used during my trip. This is my second euro delivery with BMW and the first one went so smooth. I really hope they can come up with something fun to drive. |

I have a good friend who works for BMW in Munich and he said the storm was pretty bad. He lives 3 miles from the Welt and said some of it was almost golf ball sized. Happened early evening yesterday. Hopefully they get you a fun car. Good luck!

I am supposed to take euro delivery of my M2C today, but got word yesterday after i did my plant tour that my car was affected by the hail as well I was given a 7 series as a loaner and did a Euro Delivery type experience with that car (intro to the features inside and a victory lap). The people at BMW and the Welt are very apologetic and my delivery specialist is keeping me informed.

Did you ask about alternative loaner vehicles? Was an M2C loaner an option or another M vehicle? The 7 is nice but not so great for the mountain passes I have planned. |

Sorry to hear about your car being damaged but I was just wondering what happens in a case like this? Do they repair your car or do you get another new one built? Do they just replace or repair the damaged body panels? Do they give you any compensation other than the loaner car during your visit?
I’m sure BMW will take care of it but just wondering how. Last edited by Atomicchicken; 06-14-2019 at 04:42 AM.. |

That's terrible, really sorry to hear about this. I would have had a fit if my car wasn't ready when I did ED!
Like others said, I'm sure BMW will make it right in some way. I'm curious to see how. Good luck!

That's very unfortunate...let's hope BMW still provides you with an M to drive, so that you can still have the experience you were expecting to have.

That sucks, I figured they keep the cars inside after they are built. I'm sure you can rent a M2C from the Welt's BMW on Demand program. I did for mine since I went in winter and there were no winter tires avail for M2C at the time. They are all automatics with sunroofs without the sport seats or sport brakes though so not exactly like our US cars.
