Week 34!

Went into production today! Status 150. At first it was week 35, then bmw genius told me it was week 37 a couple days ago. Today genius said week 34.
Can't wait!!!!

Funny that the BMW 'Genius' says it's in production now AND still says it's 'week 34', considering we're currently in week 28.

Yeah, none of that adds up at all.

According to everything on Bimmerpost, no matter what Genius or the dealership tells you, the "week X" is the week the car should be completed and roll off the production line.

One of the sticky posts in this very forum section says that build time is generally 1-2 weeks. I wouldn't expect the car to actually start production until about that time before your "build week."

So either the "Build week" is wrong, or your car isn't actually in production quite yet.

he said car started production this past Monday , but will finish Mid August !!!

This thread prompted me to call the "Genius." I am week 33 and still "Scheduled for daily production." In all fairness to the Geniuses, they are only giving us the information that is available on the screen. It's the guys in Germany that are building up confusion and drama.

Part of me wants it to go into production to make it feel more concrete. Another part wants it to stay in 112 so I can change my mind some more as long as it isn't delayed further. But, since my date has changed 3 times while in status 112, I think I'll opt for the former. I don't think they can change the production week if it's in status 150.

Congrats! And you don't even have to worry about the hurricanes ... you should have pretty high confidence in taking delivery before the end of Sept.

Thanks to you really for helping us track our m2s. 👍🏼 My dealer also said before october, definitely end of sept.

Was on the Tongala as well, which arrived at Halifax today!
Hopefully customs and getting onto a train doesn't take too long.
