If our downpipe is installed correctly it will not require any modification to fit the M2 nor M235i/435i unlike a few competitors out there. We made sure to retain a few inches of clearance around the downpipes to prevent any issues with fitment.

Also nothing about the warranty issue yet!
True, but the up stream O2 will trim for it. Unless you have massive changes, the computer will compensate. The cat is only a minor restriction in comparison to the turbo before it.

It's just fine....not sure why you think it would even affect it. Logged it with JB4 and AFR is beautiful, getting down to a nice safe 12.2 under WOT.
Hey man. Did you put this on before the break in service? I've waited a week or so but can't wait any longer

I did, but I am friends with multiple people at the dealership so I wasn't worried about it. FWIW, it takes about 100 miles for the check engine light to come on, if not more. If you have a cable I would just clear codes before bringing it in and you should be good.

Thanks! I ordered the catsim anyways. Not looking forward to not doing this on a lift.

The lower V band is the hardest part, it is STRONG and can be hard to separate. Luckily the upper V band is much easier. A lift is 100x easier but as long as you have some universal joints and extensions you should be good.

Thank you. I'll get some sort of bar to separate it.

There was no installation error. We build motors, I think a down pipe is manageable. Your product is a great bang for the buck in my opinion, but our experience was not as sweet, to your defense it was a used pipe so who knows if anything had been altered.

We put out a small batch of 4" downpipes that required modification to fit (denting in the same spot the ER's are dented) but we discontinued them after releasing our new downpipe that does not require modification.

That same modification on the old downpipe was required on any Fx N55, not just the M2. Fortunately they've been revised and no longer require modification

Jason - apparently it will fit with a small modification. I sold my ER with my F22. Looks like VRSF might be the best bet with the m2 for now. We will see if any other vendors modify theres to fit out of the box. I will wait till after break in period.

Tiago@VRSF hey man, interested in doing this for my car, but I've got some questions and concerns. Mind direct messaging me when you get a chance? Thanks!

Also, paradoxical3 , I'd love to hear how it's been for you so far.

Does the M2 have a primary & secondary cat?

Can anyone please confirm this?
