Thankfully I haven't encountered any roadkill while having the lip on.

Break in service completed today. Followed up by a charcoal filter delete and BMC drop in filters. Also installed a BMS oil catch can.

1200 mile break-in service...FINALLY! After turning in my F80 M3 for the M2C, I have been missing the occasional rip to the redline that the S55 is so good at.

It should give a slightly better flow, the design of the factory airbox flows well, not much power to get out of intake mods. But the combination of removing the charcoal filter with the BMC drop in filters got me a slightly deeper induction sound.

Cleaned the alcantara on my steering wheel today, and I'm quite pleased with the results. After 13k miles the thumb cuts where the worst of caked hard gunk, and the outside was starting to feel a bit sticky. I used the alcantara cleaner from Sonax with an applicator pad, wiped the surface with a moist microfiber cloth, then brushed with a toothbrush while holding up a vacuum to catch the loose particulates. Wish I had taken a before picture, but didn't think about it until I had already started. I'm no longer concerned about purchasing alcantara in the future as cleaning it wasn't too difficult after all.

Hard wired a battery tender... I didn't like the idea of opening the hood each time to use a battery tender so instead of using the clips on the charging points I used the rings. Charging point screws remove easily using a METRIC allen wrench. Lots of swearing was going on until I found the right tool.
Found an extension cable for use with the BMW charger on Amazon... I ran the extension along the hood up the base of the wipers. The end of the extension is capped so it's waterproof. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Charger is on Amazon too... https://www.amazon.com/Bmw-Advanced-...e%2C162&sr=1-6 Once I figured out all the pieces it was a 5 minute job! Now all I need to do to charge the battery is remove the end of the extension and plug the other end of the charger into it. Much better than opening and closing the hood each time |

This looks awesome, has anyone had issues with a warranty or anything like that? Is it easy to return if something happened? I’m was getting ready to pull the trigger and buy it just curious if anyone had any hiccups?

Sounds very good, I feel like there was a slight improvement in throttle response and it looks damm good in that engine bay.
Just loaded a video with some clips: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=25154872

Finally took redelivery 8.5weeks later and dropped her off at AMP Motorsports for some full-Xpel, Tints and parts install.

how did you decide which eBay offer to pay for? When I do a simple search w/in eBay there are multiple options ranging from <$50 to >$85. Is there a consensus of one that is the better than the others? Also, anyone have experience with any of these and how they handle updates as iOS/CP is updated?

Just be sure to have your original FSC code backed up before you apply those kind of tweaks.
