The wet carbon OEM MPerf DCT surround from the M3/M4 most definitely does not fit right hand drive F87 M2s. I purchased one and tried it and it had to be returned.

So considering the list, is it really worth it?
A few items I'm interested in, but can also be he at discount from a parts counter online, eBay, or at IND. All while retaining the OEM parts that will otherwise be kept at port. To which they aren't crediting the difference of any replacements.🤷*♂️ I guess that the only really appealing thing is the having the parts included on the Monroney sticker. [IMG][/IMG] |

Port installed parts are covered by 3yr warranty (I believe that's right number) and show up on window sticker. If something ever happens to the car you'll have a better chance with insurance if the parts appear on the factory sticker. I added addl 10k cash payout on my car policy to cover a lot of M perf and other items that were added after sale.

Apologies for potentially naive questions .. this is the first build-to-order car I've bought. Port installed .. at the Port of Arrival? How late can you add such items (my car is in transit atm)? Tempted to order a couple of items (e.g., wheel locks). When do they print the window sticker (assume at the dealership)?

Does anyone know how the wireless phone charger gets installed? Where would it be located?
Also, will the car interface with the M-Laptimer app via the standard USB port (which my 1M does) or will I need the M performance drive analyzer?

As far as I understand, not all the options that show up in dealerspeed work with it. BMW essentially ported over the entire M2Comp list to the M2CS - so wireless charger, roof racks etc won't work.

If the carbon winglets came delivered on the car, how hard would it be to get them off?
They have rivets but how hard is the betalink adhesive to remove? I'd wanna ppf the entire rocker so I'd imagine this would have to come off for that. Last edited by MomoM3; 01-16-2021 at 12:41 AM.. |
