CS Transmission flash

I've tried a bunch of other transmission flashes from BM3 to XHP, and I can say that the CS flash pack from kubax86 is the smoothest and fastest of them all. I got the full package that includes the trans, diff, and steering. For the price it's a no brainer.

Maybe I am in the minority but I have no problem with the stock software.

Have you tried the thor app?

https://www.thorflasher.com/

It's nice because you can change flash packages yourself on your phone. No laptop or coder needed. Not sure what the price difference is though as you didn't mention that.

The hood thing he can install either one. I personally prefer the full pack.

Give it a try if you can. You will feel the difference immediately.

Are you running any other performance mods on your car? How do you find the launch control?

I'm running FBO + Dorch Stage 2 HPFP with E85 and I found the stock LC and GTS LC to be way too aggressive. I got slower launches than stock because of all the traction loss. I'm running XHP now and it's much better as you're able to dial the LC revs down much lower than the factory software.

What's the difference? Does it kick harder it softer?

I have BM3 stage 2 with fabspeed and MPE, upgraded inter cooler and pipes.

Xhp was too aggressive especially stage 3 in sports +. It was pretty much impossible to drive it in the streets in auto because it stayed on the lower gears and even in manual mode shifting from 3-4-5 the gears hit so hard that makes a very cringing noise like the box is about to fall out.

The CS flash also helped make my car sound very refined with the exhaust setup. Not sure how but it does. It's much more bearable.

I haven't tried LC but it should be great since I also have the dsc and diff flash that makes the car put down the power without spinning.

Kicks harder when you want it and it's smooth when you want it to. It's the right amount of kick compared to stock and xhp which was too aggressive borderline not healthy for the box.

I had the CS flash installed, drove it for 2 weeks then went back to xhp... and I was like nah! I hit him back up and asked him to reinstall the CS.

Xhp is good for people who track the car and need to tweak it and stuff. But even the CS can definitely hang. It's perfect IMO. For the price it worth trying it before shedding $400+ for xhp like I did. Not sure if I can resell my license.

Ah I see. Yeah, I only have the gts flash from bm3. My car is very choppy at very low speeds. I know that some of the transmission flashes fix this. Does this one?

What do you mean it kicks harder when you want to? I'd like for it to shift faster at high speeds as well

Oh yeah it will fix that. It's cheap so just try it. The BM3 ones are beta versions. I immediately removed it after one test drive.

Fair enough, I definitely agree that xHP is too aggressive in Automatic Sports+. For me I tend to either want to drive sedately in which case I used Automatic & Comfort where XHP is silky smooth, or I'm pushing on in which case I use Manual & Traction/DSC Off, where XHP is really fast. As such I never use the xHP in automatic in anything other than comfort.

Also are you aware that you can tweak xHP settings to your liking with torque punch etc.?

I've never used Sports+ the steering weight is way too heavy which dulls feedback and the throttle input is too aggressive which reduces control. All personal preference though.

can someone here help me with a stock FA readout of your M2? vehicle type 1H92 or 1J62 if possible, or any FA from a N55 readout.

Just wondering, does your DCT kick harder when driving more spiritedly? I got the same flash from Kubax86 and while I like how refined it is compared to stock OG M2 tune, I feel that it’s too smooth that I don’t feel the transmission kick when upshifting. I need to take the car to the track to see if I can get some kick out of upshifting.

Yes it is aggressive only in sports or sports+ and shifting manually using the pedals. In auto it's smooth and tends to shift a bit too early.

Had kubax86 flash my M2C with the CS settings and wow.. the car feels amazing. DCT doesn't feel clunky anymore. Shifts are super crisp, the car just feels faster and more precise overall. Highly recommend

I'm daily driving my m2 f87 n55. mixed city and highway driving.

What does the CS flash do and will it be useful for this mix of driving?

Thanks!
