M2C interior trim

IMO high gloss black looks much better, because the center console (where AC is located) is available gloss black only. (i ordered this fingerprint sensible finish)

(i also ordered the "normal" M2 seats, because i don't like the rear seats look completely different in terms of material, headrest, and so on..)

is the "carbon" trim PVC/plastic or real carbon-fibre? at the M2 it feels not that nice, like really cheap material. is it changed for the M2C or the same?

also the performance steering wheel with the "carbon" spoke looks different, is it raw or gloss finished / clear painted?

is there any aftermarket solution of alcantara (all around 360°) steering wheels? no display nothing needed.

-or is it possible to order the M4CS alcantara steering wheel at a bmw dealer?

best!

Lots of people had issues with the gloss black trim, I'd advise reading up on it

The Carbon Fiber is called Raw Carbon Fiber, and yes it's real Carbon Fiber.

As far as the gloss black... It's prone to fingerprints and scratches. Still looks nice.

You can avoid fingerprints and scratches on the piano black finish but it involves never touching it ever with anything.

If I had a choice, I would prefer the finished CF ( matte or glossy).

Sometimes I think that even by looking at that crap you get scratches. But the placement of piano black plastic and option to go for carbon fibre on f22/f87 is okay. And under normal use one should not touch it.
What they did with new A class is shameful for a luxury brand. And you can't opt it out! Taking brand new car apart and wrapping/foiling is the only solution.

The Piano black finish discussion has been hashed out many times before. If people want Piano black, so be it. They may love it, you play you pay :-)

Carbon fiber would not have been my first choice, but piano black is a "no-go" in dusty Arizona.

Does anyone know if you can get the stock carbon trip afterwards to replace the piano black.
It's nice enough looking but I hate the dirty look it gets, I just don't want aftermarket.
I can't seem to find the bmw parts for the stock cf trim

This looks to be them. Unsure though.

Right handle

Left Handle

Dash trim

If you go to order, be sure to include your VIN. They will send you an email confirming (or not) that the parts fit.

I can't fathom going with the 2-Series seats when it comes with the fantastic M3/4 seats standard.

It wasn't that comfortable to me back when I test drove the OG M2. That and I didn't like how they used standard 2er seats in an M car.

The M3/4 seats in the M2C is far better looking and more comfortable.

I have to say I wish some aftermarket would come up with an exact match raw carbon for the radio surround.

That's something I could get behind.

Yes please! I hate that piano black plastic. One wipe and it's scratched for life. Shiney piano black and shiney chrome are terrible interior choices.

I have a double headache when it comes to piano black trim, having it in my M2C and in the new MB CLA which is my daily driver. The inside of the MB is a real nightmare to keep clean, i had it ceramic coated with the hope that it would change something but it accumulates the same amount of dust as it did before albeit maybe it doesn't scratch as much. My plan is to wrap the piano black trim in alcantara, leaving the door handles as they are. With regards to the steering wheel, i think your best bet is to have it re trimmed in alcantara by a company which specialises in re-trims, i think it will be the cheapest option and you will get exactly what you are looking for

Speaking of CF trims. Does anyone notice their CF trim in the center console and the dash is not tightly wound (sorry no better way to describe it). What I mean is that the interweaved CF seems a bit loose to me where there are gaps all along the trim. For instance the door handles don't show this. Can anyone confirm if their center console and dash trim are like this? I plan to go to the dealer to look at the other CFs

It's definitely textured, and I have gotten some fuzz / random stuff stuck between the weaves. As for the edges, the weave seems to be very similar to the rest of the panel. The only place where mine seems to be different is up near the shifter as that panel gets thinner and thinner, the weave appears to be separating moreso than the rest. It's not enough to annoy me, but I have noticed it for sure. For the most part, the edges are perfectly fine (for me).

Perhaps pictures would better help explain what you're saying?
