Exhaust Noise Reduction (MPE)
Hi all, looking for some advice!
Ironically, I have an M performance exhaust, with a 'track' button no less... (frustration boiling)... as luck would have it, the one place I can't use the 'track' mode, is... on the track. It breaks the sound restrictions. That said, even at Bedford, I'm breaking the sound restrictions with the valves closed. I recently got barred from the track for such 'poor' behaviour. Rant over, question - any recommendations for snap-on/snap-off exhaust silencers that I can use that will help me keep under the limits? Bear in mind the tips are 80mm. Thanks |

Yes, although stock resonator was removed by garage, not sure if this is standard practice.
When I was barred, 2dB, but I tend to be in the range of 1-5dB depending on circumstance. I've had a look at either Decibel Slayer or Decibel Devil. Anyone have experience? |

You seem to have more knowledge about what to do then me. I was gonna recommend splicing the exhaust to add in a removable muffler. Those decibel devils seems good. Seems like the Porsche guys like them. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/...=230&t=1364806 That thread is from Bedford too, so maybe there are ppl at your track with them that you can ask their experience with them and if you can give theirs a try before purchasing yourself. |
