Anyone tried a Clear Bra kit on their own?

Just got an M2 Competition and looking at attempting this as a weekend project with a friend;

Anyone have any thoughts?

Unless you or your friend have experience, I fear you will be wasting $288 and time, especially if you demand a perfect fit/look. Applying this stuff is almost an art form...even some professional installers do a lousy job.

If you decide to do it, let us know how it goes!

Ended up finding a shop that is doing a full bumper, full hood, full front fenders, headlights, mirrors and rear rocker panels for $1100. At that price its worth me just letting them handle it.

Quotes like this scare me - if they're highly recommended and you've seen their work then great. Otherwise $1100 for a full front end and rockers is a red flag

It was a cash price after I did a bit of negotiating(offering cash, a yelp review in return, etc). They do seem like a fairly new shop and most of their reviews are about Tint but what comforted me is he said he used to do the clear bra's for a local Porsche/BMW dealer and then instead started his own shop now. Also he wouldn't rush the car and said he needed 3 days then walked me through the process of why it takes 3 days. It's also a shop in an area that doesn't have very high rent/overhead and the shop itself is small.

Fingers crossed, I get it back on Sunday in the afternoon.

1100 is a really good price. do you know what material they are using? xpel? suntek? I wonder how they can pay all the business expenses while charging so little.

Yeah crossing my fingers all goes well. I did also call and tell them to do ceramic 35% tint for an extra $200 which seemed like a great price as well for ceramic.

Will pick it up tomorrow afternoon.
