M2C rear seats enter/exit

Hey, guys. I've just read in the manual that there are two ways for rear passenger to exit or enter, the brief press of the btn on the seat or long press.

I've just test it on my M2C (with the engine turned off tho) and discovered that the "brief" way does not work (both driver and the passenger), is this coded somehow, there is a trick to it or the manual lies?

Yes it can be coded - I noticed that this feature was disabled on M2Cs for whatever reason. I'll dig around and find the coding for you when I get a sec!

Yeah I think different regions have this on or off for safety reasons.

I had asked about this feature on another post and didn't get a response. Would be a useful little feature to have!

Yep I see this feature referenced from time to time but it’s not active on my M2C. Would be very useful for getting kids in and out.

Do we know if Bimmercode can code this in? Anyone know the module?

Ahhh sorry for the wait guys but I found it! Keep in mind I did this in ProTool so not sure if this is doable on BimmerCode.

You have to individually code each seat module (Driver's is called FAS; passenger is called BFS).

FAS and/or BFS -> 3000 SM_GLOBAL -> EASY_ENTRY_TTB -> enabled/aktiv

Lmk if this works for y'all! Worked for me in retrofitting M seats in my OG

Worked like a charm, thank you!!!

For those coding in Bimmercode, here is the path:

Seat Module Driver (CFAS_PLX_1) > Expert Mode > 3000 SM_GLOBAL > EASY_ENTRY_TTB > Change to "aktiv"

Passenger seat is the exact same, it's just the passenger seat module instead of the driver seat.

I did also set the "Easy entry seat movement" to "active" in the the Seat Module menu at first, and that didn't do anything on it's own. Not sure if this does need to be done in conjunction with the path above as well, but regardless it worked

Happy to help bro! I feel like I've made so many stupid little coding "discoveries" with this car lol

Oh also, I don't have the easy entry enabled on mine and the one-touch seat movement works no problems

Yes. I coded it via bimmercode 3 years ago when i got the car (can't remember the steps now). There was a catch however. I'm 6 ft tall so my normal seating position was already back far enough that exceeded the default setting. I had to enter another code that allowed for full travel. In all the process was very easy if you have the right code. I found all of the information via search here. A brave pioneer posted easy instructions.
