I suspect they can make the hood look pretty good. And the fact is, they messed it up - on your brand new car.

So you have a right to be upset - just like if someone hit you - it is/was an accident. And in a perfect world, they would have owned up to it.

But... if they are a quality dealer, in addition to making it right, I would hope they would do a little something for you (huge discount on some nice add-ons, detail of car in the spring, etc.). Costs them next to nothing to help you feel better.

While the scratch is small, it's deep. And it's on the metal, not plastic (like a bumper). I know accidents happen, but sucks that it happened to you. I'd imagine you'll have to have the whole hood resprayed to make it look like it never happened. That would be my choice. At least LBB doesn't seem like it's as hard to match as Silverstone. Respray or touch up, tough call. And it's definitely all the dealer's responsibility; no DIY'ing here.
