New member here from Warrington
Hi to all. Just joined the M2 club. Last car was a manual 981 Cayman S which I'd had for 4 years. I ordered a carrera T porsche and just couldnt get over the mahoosive debt id be taking on.... so I decided id test drive an M2 instead. Loved it and bought the car. Its black with dct, folding mirrors, harman kardon, reverse camera, elec seats with memory drivers seat, it has a lip spoiler which I think is standard but not sure. Its an LCI model. Heres some pics from when I got her (8 miles on the clock turned into 300 pretty quickly considering its been icy and peeing it down non-stop)

I use mine everyday. Never out of it. Taking it back to Wilmslow tomorrow to have one of the HK speakers replaced.

Only issues are a loose handbrake (wasn't holding the car) and a rattle from the speaker. Sorted the handbrake before Christmas and the rattle in the speaker being sorted tomorrow. Apart from that Just stone chips on the front. Had this issue with my last 2 BMW's. The paint on the front is quite soft. I daily mine and I drive it hard. Averaging 20mpg at the moment so stone chips are inevitable

Sounds good. Have you tracked it? Wondering what it'd be like at oulton park. Yea ive already found one stone chip. Planning to call reep today and get it booked in for PPF on the front, mirrors and side skirts (should help a bit).... well see. Glad you're enjoying it... have you got black grille surrounds on yours? Mine are chrome and they look mean in black. Did you notice the exhaust get any louder once the car had done a few k miles? Watched you tube vids and they seem much louder when run in (joe achilles). Hope you have a lovely day in it! Enjoy.

No I haven't tracked mine yet. BMW Car Club UK are doing an event at Anglesey in Feb though. I have the full M Performance kit on mine. Black grills, front carbon fibre fins, carbon side blades, rear carbon diffuser and carbon rear wing. Exhaust definitely gets louder the more miles you put on it. Mine also felt louder and quicker after it's running in service. Every BMW I've owned never really feels fully opened up until over 10,000 miles. I had mine detailed and full G Technique when I bought it. Definitely worth it!

Whats G Technique if you dont mind me asking? Just never heard of it. That bmw day sounds good. Any idea of date and price for that one? Just dropped mine off at invisible patterns in golborne for suntek ultra front end ppf. Hopefully thatll keep the chips away.

Same Spec - Different Colour!
Just joined the Forum having bought myself a LBB with the same spec, mileage and similar price from Williams Manchester!
I'm actually based in Bolton and have used Williams Bolton for many years and always found them pretty good to deal with. It was the Manchester branch that had the colour I wanted. Williams had 4 Pre-Reg LCI's in early November (the other two - one Grey one White - were at Rochdale I think?). Not sure what happened to the other two?? Plan to do a proper first post over the coming days but enjoying this Forum so far. Been a member of the Z Forum for many years. Thought my Z4 35is was the best car I'd had until I took delivery of the M2. Its truly is a great car! |
