Another note from CFRP from BMW is that the 4x4 weave is stronger than the 1x1 and 2x2 that is usually used. I'm unsure if the large pattern in e video is 4x4 or larger. My point is that the CFRP top on the M2CS could be. A touch lighter than others. Likely an insignificant amount, but would demonstrate the amount of thought that has gone into this production.

F82 M4 Coupe: L=4671(WB=2812mm), W=1870, H=1383mm F87 M2(C) Coupe: L=4468(WB=2693mm), W=1854, H=1410mm Compared to E46 M3 Coupe, the M2 coupe is 27mm short in wheel base but 40mm taller. I'm sure you knew I have a thread for this topic. In the context, 40mm is twice the maximum M Coilover's drop. Personally, way out of proportion for a coupe. M2 is much more hatchback than coupe shaped.

As regards Europe: European regulations tightened CO2 emissions and noise levels for all new cars in Europe. Car manufacturers are required to observe those regulations if they want their new cars to be homologated.

Besides that - white/black/silver, I don't recall any special edition BMWs coming with such underwhelming color palette.

As with any color combo, you will always find people who are okay with it. Personally I would look into another color combo (tuxedo cool with a red bow tie: BSM with dark CFRP and some gloss black thrown into the mix, combined with jet black 763M wheels contrasted with red accents (red-colored brake calipers of the M Sport Brakes + red contrast stitching gracing the alcantara/leather interior)). All stock.

Combination Misano Blue, jet black 763M wheels + red color brakes would have been a lot more tasteful.

In my market, like every special edition M before the M2 CS, getting one isn't difficult at all. But seriously, F87 one more time for my next daily commuter? It had to be more special than the CS we already know.

How hard is it to have trace amounts of pigment paint for paint jobs? Like i dont see any reason why they dont offer 2 dozen choices for colours for cars

I’ve driven the M3CS back to back with my car (with CS engine tune, CS damper/steering/diff/etc settings), and the total was greater than the sum of the parts. These special editions by BMW sometimes feel that way (my 2003 ZHP was the same way). Now it all depends on price. My friend got his M3 CS at $84k, not a bad discount...
