I've always wondered why M2C owners aren't looking at OG M2 MPE. They can be found for a fraction of a price as compared to M2C MPE.

Nice I have a spare M2 M performance exhaust sitting in my room i was planning a more complicated route, but this seems like it'd save more weight and sound just as good!

Were you able to get the valves to work depending on driving modes?
If not I wanted to figure something out that'd work with the OEM programming.

I think the performance will make a lot of sound.
Without valves limp mode, I connected both valves, one left it in the exhaust, and I had to extend the cable.

Sorry to keep bugging you, but this is the route I'll most likely go.
Do you have the dimensions of the midpipe?
What resonator did you end up using?
So you had to extend the wiring for the valves, but did they work as normal? no coding or other modifications needed?

You do not bugging me!

Midpipe 80mm, resonator is universal the one I found in the workshop
The valves working normal, don't need other coding or modifications.

N55 exhaust has one valve, S55 has two. They have the same connector, but different internals. Seems like he extended the wires to splice the extra S55 connector into the single N55 valve.

Interesting that this works in the M2C, because the opposite doesn't work in the M2.

In the M2, the OEM connector will not work to actuate the M2 MPE valve controller (which is the same controller as the M2C/M3/M4)

But it seems the opposite works?

M2 cannot control M2C/M3/M4 valves
M2C can control M2 OEM valves.

Maybe we refer to different things , but the MPE of my former M2 featured two butterfly valves: one on each outer pipe (pipes #1 & #4):

Yes, we are referring to different things. I am referring to the M2 OEM exhaust, not the MPE. It has a single valve. The M2 MPE is not relevant to this conversation because OP is switching from a dual valve setup (OEM M2C exhaust) to a single valve setup (OEM M2 Exhaust)

However, speaking of the M2 MPE. If anyone puts the M2 MPE on their M2C, the valves should work the same and connect with no splicing or other fiddling though. Valves will be controlled by the DME and function as they normally do in different driving modes. No bluetooth controller or module is needed.

This looks like a great solution without spending thousands! n55 exhausts going for a few hundred, plus some custom work looks like a sensible way forward!
One question though - have you had eny engine management lights etc? most comments on other posts say that the OPF delete throws up an error everytime, esp' over 5k, or did you get it mapped?
Can't find anyone else that has done this, but i'm well up for it if it works!
How much do you think the mid section and resonator would cost to get fabbed up?
thanks and good work!

Mine m2c don't have OPF, but i can delete with programming tools on mine workshop.

Full exhaust of m2 250euro.
Resonator + welding work 300euro.
