I don't see how without major major modifications. I mean the openings are not even the same size.

I think if you could find the panel out of an LCI model you should be able to.

How? The LCI dash isn’t digital.

I have an F30 and an M2. The dash sizes and layouts are way different. There's no chance you'd be able to do this without some major custom modifications to the M2's dashboard. And then you'd have to sort out the coding which would probably be a nightmare in itself. Definitely not looking at plug and play. To me it doesn't seem like it's worth the time or money.

All I've seen of the LCI dash are the two M2s that we have at our dealership. I know the dashes are all dark and look like the second picture when they're turned on.

There's a picture under the black M2 description at Isringhausen Imports.

Thanks y’all. Would be neat to get a digital dash at some point.

They're not digital, they're just designed to look that way. Still analog. Very easy to tell in good light.

Makes sense. I haven't even sat in one yet. It looks good though.

Now I have driven the 5 series with the digital dash. It is pretty awesome. I travel a lot and like the map projected on the instrument panel instead of what we have now.

Sometimes we see things trickle down from one model to another. We can only hope this happens also.

I will give BMW props for managing to make analog gauges look LCD when illuminated. When illuminated they look like any late model LCD display mimicking analog gauges. That said I'm not sure why they just didn't go all the way here with LCD rather than put resources into making an analog setup look like LCD. We are in an era where even VW Golf R's and Mustang GT's come with a full LED cluster so we know it's prohibitively expensive.

True, but I think there's a certain charm to analog gauges.

The only downside I can think of is that they don't response as fast as digital gauges.

Test drove an RS3 at one point with the digital dash...meh...just another electronic thing to crap out at some point. You still have to look down to see the nav...so I don't see any improvement there. HUD is better for "safety". Had it on my F30...once you get used to it it works quite well. Wish they had the option for the F87.

I had it on my 15 335i. I wish we could get it.

I believe it is as much a safety feature as it is convenient.

I see no reason why a 6WB would not work in an M2C. Many other cars with 6WA that can be retrofitted with 6WB, a bit of coding and voilà

Would the size of the gauge cluster assembly not be an issue? Explain.
