Yes. But if you hit the lock button twice it turns off the motion detector.

The one on the remote or the one on the door handle? or both?

I haven’t try the door. But I use the trice on the remote when I have my M2 on a ferry. The rolling of the ferry will turn on your alarm if you don’t disable motion.

Every ride you hear a load speaker announcement of X car owner please return to your car and turn off your alarm.

It works with both but you have to wait like 3-5 sec after the initial lock to lock it a second time. Just pressing the button twice quickly won't do it. You'll know it worked when the car beeps again and the red light under your rear view mirror isn't flashing anymore.

The manual isn't very clear about that and it took some playing with to figure it out.

I just tried it again and it worked doing a double press but it doesn't do it most of the time. I must not be doing it correctly

Either that or my 'no delay comfort closing' coding is interfering with it

It may be your coding. I have stock software with no coding.

Hey Andrew, did you have to switch on a feature to see all of this?

I have connected drive and can send locations and flash lights etc. But I can't see if doors are locked or the mpg or range.

My car is a 16 pre lci btw. Anything I need to switch on in the car?
Thanks

If you have a 2016 you probably have iDrive 4, in which case you won't have as many viewable options as I do (2017 with iDrive 5)

My 2015 328 with iDrive 4 doesn't show if the doors are locked, how much fuel is in the tank, or the milage. Doesn't seem like something you can change unfortunately.

wheels

These ahhsoles should be hunted down, hung up by their balls (if they have any) with piano wire, and then slowly beaten to death with baseball bats!!!

Someone in the F30 forum had Velgen wheels stolen off his 340i in south Florida.

Hopefully you get the situation rectified

This is thread jacking, I realise that... Sorry OP...

The Android and iOS versions of the BMW Connected App are different... Android wouldn't even let me take screen shot.

Here's the difference, note the different fuel amounts and range, which is weird because it's the same car, at exactly the same time!!!

iOS (same as andrewc89):

Back in the 80s I came out of my apartment in Tucson to find my brand new GTI up on blocks with the wheels gone (at least the punks were nice to the car). Called the police, insurance, etc. Then I called buddies I knew that worked at the local performance tire shops (not many back then) and asked them to keep their eyes open. Later that day one guy called me back and said someone just called in to have new wheels mounted on their VW. Sure enough, my wheels. He checked the guy in, told him it would be a few hours, then called me back to come get them. Brought him a case of Coronas.

Hope it all works out and your back on the road soon. Dont beat yourself up for not having locks - not your fault there are d bags out there.

I bought a set off amazon today.

They were listed under Mcgard 27326. For the black bolt style.

What is the rest of the story... like the beatdown? the arrest? both? etc...

Sorry man. No bigger story. Friend told them to haul ass. Tucson was a small town back then. Friend's uncle was police chief, other friend's dad owned the tire store chain. Nobody wanted to raise a stink. Just got my wheels back and was done.
