I find that the S55 in my M3 is much more “on and off” than the linear feel of the N55. That together with the extra torque of the S55 may make the manual a bit harder to handle than in the OG M2.

You got a great deal. I'm not trying to compete, but I did get $3000. off because of ED pricing and an extra $200. to go towards my airfare. Then $500 for BMWCCA rebate. So on my 2019 M2C car that I will be able to drive for several months even before 2019 comes around, I'm paying $56,300 plus destination and tax. I go to Europe every year anyway so that is not an up charge. Plus all the goodies that the M2C offers. Yikes, not bad huh?

I guess it depends on perspective - I can see someone new to the brand or RWD in a relatively small package liking one, but I hated my 235 and thought it was not as good a car as either 135 I had before it...drove me out of the brand, to be honest - and into a 981.

I know I'm in the minority, but I can't believe my eyes when people say that they like the 437's better than the gorgeous 788's!!
In my eyes, the 788's are one of the most beautiful wheels ever made! A big part of the reason I think the M2C is worth the premium over the M2 (that and the S55 and the seats) Only downside is that cleaning them is going to be a bitch |

I ran this cost/benefit analysis many times back in May, with the info available at the time indicating that the Comp would cost me an additional $7k to $9k (if the Fleet Discount went away, and I wouldn't be doing ED). For me, for the extra dollars and unknowns at the time, I grabbed one off the showroom floor and it's been great so far! |

I got a couple of those brushes and have a dedicated wheel bucket...really cut the time down. They will come in handy for the 788s.

Same deal as the dumb S52b32US M Coupes vs the awesome S54 M Coupes. I had the dumb one, but it had the same basic depreciation curve as the cool one until the greater quantity of dumb ones came into play. Roughly 2,600 S52's vs 800 S54's in the US. The S55 M2C will always be worth more than a similar N55 one, but it likely won't be a large differential unless there just end up being significantly fewer M2C's.

Wheels aren't that bad but definitely not very "M" looking. Either way these things will be great in the used market. Buy 6MT people!!
