If she notices a rear-view mirror of the car don't you think she'll notice the thousands missing from your bank account?

I think he was talking about the side view mirrors... and if he's a smart man he'll hopefully have his own "toy" account set up for these kind of "rainy day" purchases

Of course she wouldn't notice the money missing! He knows that his wife doesn't have the mental capacity to comprehend that sort of thing, because she is a female, right?

C'mon - M guys? I've meet plenty of M girls!

My wife drives a Porsche and has her eyes on a 992 Targa. She also had had numerous BMW's. There are plenty of car enthusiasts of both genders.

You breathe on piano black trim and it scratches.

M Girls? Please.. Anybody can be an M Guy.. Stop being so PC.. What next.. M Trans?

"Car Guy" is an inclusive iconic term.. Girls can be a Car Guy too, and by extension, an M Guy as well.

Exactly, it's already trim on the car. The open carbon is also a maintenance problem. I'd rather accent the gloss with gloss carbon.

Mainly bring it up because I was surprised to see the option. Had no idea until I saw the configurator.

So, I have the open pore carbon fiber and had piano black in my previous 3 series. The piano black is truly awful. It scratches easily and is never clean, especially the iDrive controller area since it’s a touch point. I actually really enjoy the open carbon fiber. It’s a unique feel and I think it looks good. Regular carbon fiber just feels like plastic. I think this is a great take on carbon fiber without the plastic feel.

The piano black trim around my radio always looks clean, just a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth to dust it off and it doesn’t get scratched. It looks great with the carbon fiber trim in the M2.

I wasn't trying to be PC at all, your statement just rattled me. Sorry if I misinterpreted what you were saying.

I have the same and it's worth noting that it's not the same as the full trim that goes on the doors, idrive controller, etc. Even though those pieces look sturdier than the climate controls, it definitely seems more fragile in terms of finish. Just my impressions.

Also I'm a windows down kind of guy which adds to the dust. Granted it's my doing, but it becomes really obvious in the car.

The wheels remind me of what Pontiac put on the Grand Prix’s back in the 90’s. Just awful. Rather have these:

I am fully aware of negative sentiment toward Americans at the moment. I think that people need to keep in mind though that not all Americans are cut from the same cloth.
I think that you need to keep in mind that there is plenty of positive sentiment towards 'Americans' at the moment too, and that not all people from ANY country are cut from the same cloth.

Painting with a broad brush.

And for all of those who deride the lack of choices for the M2, you have the choice to not buy one.

"Lighten up, Francis." is a line from the movie Stripes.
