Socal Favor
Hey fellow socal broskis,
Referring to this thread: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=25316080 I discovered that my car may be exhibiting a potential DCT noise that is apparently not present in other cars. I also am aware that the tolerance for "abnormal" noise is different with everyone. Before I go waste 3 hours at the dealer and get one of those "could not replicate problem" diagnosis, can anyone take me for a ride in their DCT M2 to see if my noise is normal? I will take you for a ride as well in my car and I'm hoping my noise is normal (altho doubtful). The car makes noise in idle so we don't even have to go for a long ride, just a few minutes around local streets. I'm located in the miracle mile / koreatown area and I'll come to wherever you want to meet, unless it's like SD far haha. Thanks for your help! Btw, I have an LCI so for an apples to apples comparison I would like to check out Non-Competition cars. Thanks again! |

I have a DCT LCI M2 as well and could meet up. I don't know what your time frame is to meet up but i can't do this weekend. Next weekend I might be able to. I live in San Clemente and work just south of Irvine. Any way to record the noise/ have a friend record the noise? I don't recall any unusual idling noises with mine but i'll drive around and try to see.
