Question Which seats are the lowest (manual vs electric)

I'm thinking of ordering a M2
Which seats can go the lowest seating positition? The manual seats or the electric seats (option). I would think the manual seats would go a little lower; because there are no motor under seat...but I have read elsewhere that in this case, the electric seats go a little lower... Is something really important for me to know for sure

If you have the option, manual will go lower.

A lot of territories only offer electrics as standard

Manual seats are standard...electrics are option...in my country
Just curious; how come you are so sure the manual seats of the M2 go lower?

Was the case for the M235i and if I remember correctly, the M2 uses the same seats.

There was a thread way back comparing the two in the M235i. Wish I could find it...

Here in Canada we have no options - just the telephony package for $600. Everything else is standard even if you don't want it haha.

Manual seats go lower. About 5cm.

I would love to install a set of m3/m4 seats (if they fit)....then while the work was being done, find a way to lower them

I read this as well,in fact the person was adamant.

Regardless,I changed my order from manual to electric over the weekend as for me the functionality outweighed the manual seats' ability to go lower.

Same here. The M2 seats don't fit my build well I've discovered. I'd like to find some really nice fitting sport seats and do a swap/lower.

Adamant? What does that mean?

Besides the memory function; what is the extra functionality you are talking about?

I'm hoping to do the same as well. The seat base's part# are the same according to realoemparts.com.

Any expects here can share some advice?

I haven't had much luck on the M2 forum. I'm guessing we have to research other models that used the same seats. When i looked at realoemparts it seemed like almost all the cars have used these same sport seats over the last couple years.

PM me if you find anything good.

Where can we get Euro Manual seats in the US? I'm game to try a seat swap if I can find a pair for a reasonable price.

You want manual M2 seats so bad, you are willing to chance your electric seats in your M2...only for the height reason?
