They have 12 times our population.
We got 70.
70 x 12 = 840
So we did pretty well in the end.
A little surprise for you, the first batch of Aussie M2CS's have arrived.

Two were hiding in the holding bay awaiting delivery at Adelaide BMW. I wasn't allowed to take photos as they had number plates attached. One was black and the other was H,silver. Both manual.

yours might be coming soon too

Misano blue metallic
Hockenheim silver metallic

Trans:
6 speed or DCT

BRAKES:
CCB

Wheels:
Black or gold wheels (style 763m)

I'd post the ordering guide but I feel like it would get deleted.
Do you happen to know the base price? Thanks
The price is still blocked for everyone through our system.

And yes we are marking them up pretty hefty. One is accounted for and I don't want to say what that customer agreed for on the mark up.
Lolllll at paying markup.

I don't even like the msrp price ...

But good thing that customer can afford that and is willing to pay.

Deliveries should be November through December. Maybe a few trickling in to January.

I was lucky enough to find a dealer in the Northeast with an allocation. They are agreeing to sell to me at MSRP.

How much of a deposit are you guys leaving? They're asking for $5k and when I asked if it was refundable the CA said he wasn't sure and needed to check with the GM which I thought was odd...

In any case, I'm still debating swallowing the $8500 CCB pill....

I've done deposits for 500/ 1k but on bread and butter cars. One of the stores won't even ask me for a deposit at this point.

I've hovered around the 60k msrp so not sure how the store would handle this type of car.

Feels high but store probably just testing to see if you are serious.

Someone else here said they put down 3500

They more or less always say the deposit is not refundable, but there not a lot for them to actually hold on to for that, and it can come back. It's really to try to prevent people from walking in and out. Just a matter of how difficult the dealer is with each person. When i put down the 3.5k for mine it was "not really" refundable. However, they said if something happened with financing, my job, major other things they'd refund it.

If you plan to track it and find replacement cost to be prohibitive. No If $10k for replacements every couple of years is doable then why not. If not tracking, then I think there is an argument for value if you plan to put over 100k on the odometer.

If it's worth it for less wheel cleaning, cool factor, lighter weight, then go for it.

I was on the fence and ultimately decided it wasn't worth if for me. More because I'd be too worried that babying them would always be on my mind. I'm getting my whole car done in cquartz finest reserve for 2k. Includes wheels (outside and barrel) and calipers.

Not trying to sway one way or other, just going through my own thought process. I went back and forth for months

CCB's are cool but that is a price you will continue swallowing every time you do a brake service.

As much as I like the idea of CCB, I'm opting for steroids.

Also, no CCB's for me. Ceramic coating the wheels and calipers for easier cleaning. Separate wheels for track days in black. I'll also change to different pads as well. Get much better brake feel, response, and fade resistance for track work with good pads over the OEM pads.

That's a good deposit. Most charge 3k, and some 5k. I put down $1k, but it was back in 2016

Agree. Deposits in Illinois are refundable too no matter the dealer tries to tell you.

So check your state .

Also. I always try to run these on an Amex card (typically charge card) . That way Amex can harass them if things go sour.

Great points, very helpful. This car will likely be a garage queen and likely never see the track (sorry all). I've had 4 M3 manuals none of which were spec'ed with CCB so I'm hoping I'll be fine. Spending $10k on replacing the CCBs down the road is not something I'd look forward to.

Pretty much where I'm at. For context you could essentially buy TWO slightly used OG LCI M2s with around 10k miles on them for the price of the M2CS.

I can't make sense of that math...but I suppose that's partly because I'm always looking for value.

I don't mean that as criticism to those taking the M2CS leap, it's simply beyond what I want to spend on a car. I'm truly excited for you guys and can't wait to hear the feedback.
