Ahhh very nice! It seems it had to wait for the release of the new G series M3/4, which includes a power bump.
Now the M2CS can have more power without being more powerful than it's older siblings.

Seems as if someone got a memo with bullet points and went 'creative' with base M2, M2C and M4 CS catalogue pictures. And, no, that ain't Misano Blue Metallic.

Anyone knows if we will be able to purchase the M2 CS parts freely or will they all be VIN-locked like the CSL of the past?
I would love me a shift knob and hand brake in Alcantara, with red stitching.. |

BMW AG got themselves a nice new graphic design department! Looks like new, non-standard BMW typefaces and spacing. I like the airbrush image blur outline for the center graphic, and generic "450 HP" description for the engine that builds enough mystery before the official reveal. Might be just cost-cutting measure at HQ - why pay for Photoshop licenses when Paint is included on Windows 10!

I remember when they said 'BMW M cars will NEVER be turbo-charged; M car will always remain naturally aspirated!' See how they kept their word on that.. |

Would not be surprising if some internal department or employee had cobbled this together for the dealer network to give them a heads up to enable them to start answering customer queries and generating interest and then something more official comes along later.
However I'm hoping the red stitching IS fake. Nothing wrong with the M3/M4 CS interior. |

The biggest alarm bell for me is adaptive suspension? Think about it guys - adaptive suspension is there to switch between comfort and sport (in essence)... only M2 to get is is the club sport version? Aka, the lightweight track version? A feature that adds weight and only available in the lightest M2 yet... really?

Believe it or not, the Adaptive M Suspension is actually lighter than the regular static dampers because it's made out of forged aluminum and the static dampers are made of steel. |

With the 240i I believe they tried to achieve some sort of balance between street and backroad fun, all-in-one suspension and I guess for that model it was worth allocating some of the budget to achieve such goal with adaptive dampers. |

M2 isn't the base model that has the same base damper. Because the KW-made M performance adjustable coilover, albeit made out of forge aluminum, isn't lighter than M2 stock damper. Do not spread speculative info like it was confirmed by BMW.

I am not sure if this is the real deal or not - in terms of whether this is real BMW marketing literature.
With that being said, I think we can all agree the CS isn't going to surprise anyone when it is finally revealed. I am interested in two things: 1.) Price 2.) Availability Whatever combination of M performance parts ends up being included doesn't even matter to me at this point - I am guessing roof, hood, and trunk but maybe the front quarter panels too.

https://www.bmw-m.com/en/topics/maga...nd-bmw-m4.html Before you jump to conclusion, how about you provide some facts to back up your claim 'and do not spread speculative info.' I'm going to take a wild guess and say you have the MP coilovers on your M2, since you decided mention it, so back it with some objective facts before you accuse me of misstating mines.. |
