Sure if it's from an M2 but you want the updated 2018 N55 M2 Charge Pipe - It's a much more solid design
The earlier models are highly prone to cracking or blowing off right at the flange I'd personally replace it w/an aftermarket CP

Albeit I am very anti metal turbo inlet. Turbo inlets from my experience move enough due to the engine rocking under load that if there is no flex or accordion section it will put massive pressure on the mouth of the turbo and score it. To help allieviate this you should consider a really good quality lube like super lube (imo there is no lube better than this PTFE based lube), put a good amount on the outside of the turbo inlet and on the o-rings, this prevents it from scoring the turbo, and the inner lip of the compressor housing + inlet o-rings will prevent any lube from getting sucked in. Avoid doing this if you have a stage 2 turbo where the inner compressor housing lip is fully bored away.

Agreed. I looked at the BMS but wasn't feeling the textured surface. Really makes little difference in hindsight.

are the 2018 N55 charge pipes still prone to cracking under stock boost? upcoming M2 LCI owner here and would like to know if this is a necessary preventative maintenance piece to first replace.

But there's no way in hell I'm gonna become stranded and be stuck in 4000 RPM limp mode So it was the first modification I made after my drop in AFE dry filter I went with BMS because it's $199 and it's made like ER's I did ditch their T style clamps as I didn't like them

Exactly, F series and E series n55 charge pipes are different, same as x drive and rwd.
Generally speaking any F series n55 RWD charge pipe should fit the n55 m2.
