Anyone getting the Auto Solutions SSK for their CS?

Im planning to do this unless any CS owners can confirm there is a change in feel with the 6MT in the CS, or I don't get an allocation.

Good question. I was even toying with the idea of installing the new M performance shift knob, which I would imagine would change the shift feel. However I won't know until I'm actually driving a damn thing :-)

I am also considering the Auto Solutions SSK too... after feeling out how I like the stock one first.
Maybe couple that with the UCP possibly.

You should. It's an absolute revelation. I don't see any reason to believe the CS will be any different than the regular 6mt

I've decided to roll with the stock setup initially to see how I like it. I've been reading lots of posts that span over many years. Driving style does seem to impact the satisfaction of the current CDV component. It appears those that like to rip through the gears very quickly are the most unhappy.

A lingering question is whether the CDV as designed makes driving in traffic more pleasing?

The SSK is more about the mechanical feel of the shifter. I suspect I will still do this just for the added perception of a better connection with the car, but again I plan to wait.

Any users outside of the US already have one on order?

Same manual as M2c Auto Solutions is a must. IMO

Can you get this kit for the DCT?

Bumping this back up.

I just ordered a

Reduction: 22.5%
Height: Stock
Inclination: Stock
Bushing: Bronze 80a

I'd like to hear more about the value of the Ultimate Clutch Pedal if keeping it in the stock settings. Why do this instead of keeping the stock pedal? Does the design of the UCP somehow try to take into account the use of a CDV?

I plan to do the CDV delete with the E90 slave cylinder at the same time.

Will be real interested to hear your (and others') impression of the change in clutch feel after the CDV delete (and UCP add)

I'm going to do the ssk and CDV delete first. The UCP price kinda turned me off of it. But things change. It might become a nuisance when I have a well sorted shifting mechanism.

Based on the limited driving, i think the CDV delete is something everyone should do. Its a light clutch (i think even lighter than my hondas were), and its just hard to nail the engagement point in traffic and quick shiftiing to 2nd.

I probably wouldn't do it though, i like to leave my cars clutch alone until it needs to be dealt with.

I’ve already installed mine. Been on the car ever since I got it home from the dealership. I won’t drive this car without it. The stock CS shifter was better than the stock C shifter but the auto solutions took it to another level. Then I added the heavier / talker shift knob from Raceseng and even more enjoyable. Seems to make the 1/2 shift at low rpm even better. And you dont hit the I drive knob when shifting into 4 or 6 (cause no arm rest).

UCP clutch pedal in hand and install coming in 2 weeks. But I don’t have an issue with the clutch pedal. Just trying it out.

What build did you go with for the shifter? The shift knob is something I was wondering about. I've had a heavy spherical type knob in the past and really liked it.

I went with same setup as you but with 25% reduction. Same bushing.

I bought this knob and it’s lovely in the hand and makes rowing the gears more enjoyable. I also bought the extra tall Bmw oe shift knob along with 2 other options and the Raceseng shifter best it easily imo. You can’t really get an extended shifter from auto solutions and still have the original boot work

You have me questioning whether I should bump up to 25%. How's the feel regarding shift resistance? Daily driving, etc. Honestly, there is probably going to be little difference between 25% and 22.5%

You should bump it up to the 25% especially if you're thinking about a little taller shift knob. If you like the stock knob look, I would buy an extended BMW OE knob. It's also a little heavier and about 3/4" taller.

As for shift resistance reminds me of my Shelby GT350R Tremec gearbox. Which is one of the best ever built. It's a feel you just have to experience yourself. Hard to describe. You're more than welcome to come to Md and try it out. Porsche GT3 feels like your shifting cables..not a bad feel just different and not as engaging.

The 80 hardness bushing makes a SLIGHT NOISE while driving...it's acceptable for daily driving imo thou.

I can take a video when it comes back from PPF next week if that helps. Cleans up the slop and much better gear selection engagement.
