Hi all,

Question for UK folk only, I've just noticed something weird on my registration document for my M2 Competition.
Against vehicle details :
D.1 Make BMW
D2. Type M3 ?? er what...
Variant 2U72 (RHD M2 competition so thats good)
D.3 Model M2 Competition

I don't mean vehicle category as that right further down the V5C as "M1" which means passenger vehicle.

I've seen a similar question on cutters with M4s being described as M3s on the V5C, sort of understand that but surprised to see the same thing on an M2C. Maybe its due to the common DNA with the F80 platform, or some weird quirk of the DVLA. Do I need to contact them, or is your V5 the same?

My V5 says the same thing for my M2 LCI. I assume normal as it does say M2 further down.
