Why does everyone complain about MPSS , i like those tires. They stick to the road very well for aggressive driving

Got a new set of 763ms and they came with Cup 2s pre-mounted. So, I guess I'll still have to be careful in wet conditions. When it comes time to get another set I'll probably go with MP4S just because it rains a lot in where I live. |

I have 2 cars with MP4S's and they are truly amazing! I track one of the cars, and they even hold up well on track. I used them in wet and dry on the track and they were VERY sticky and communicative. My other car came with MPSS and when I put the MP4S on, it was a dramatic improvement (but in all fairness the other tires were 6 years old, and probably hardened a little from age).
When my M2 needs tires, I'm definitely getting the 4S's, unless something newer and better comes out. |

I've had multiple sets of both MPSS and MP4S on the same vehicle. IMO anyone telling you they can tell the difference between MPSS and MP4S on the street is just convincing themselves that they can tell any difference . Both are very good tires, but there is zero difference on the street. On the track, the MP4S is slightly better but again, the MPSS is a very good tire. I plan on tracking my M2C about 3-4 times per year and I see no reason to swap to MP4S until I use up the MPSS that the car will come with.

I bought a 2019 M2C last April and mine came with Michelin Alpine PA4's. I was a little confused when I realized I had on winters, but it made sense when I found out the car was originally from Nova Scotia, Canada lol
On a side note: I had a wheel alignment done not too long ago, and I found out the previous owner put a rust preventative under the car. Car also came with PPF. |
