About to start looking for a set of MP coils, and I'm still unsure of the real drop. Some websites say 20/20, some say 25/20, some say 25/25. Anyone know the absolute truth on this matter? I HATE that 10mm of extra gap in the stock suspension.

Bmw recomends 595mm front and 600mm rear measured from the lowest point on the wheel rim to the lowest point on the top of the wheel arch lip. I measured mine (stock suspensions) and it is 620mm F/R, so the MPS drop 25mm/20mm.

You can of course go lower, but the dampers - according to the Approval certificate - have had their centre point set to work with the recommended ride height.

I did take these measurements from a M2 on the dealer's lot. BMW M2 (M2C?) ride height 676.3mm - 26 5/8” front 685.8mm - 27” rear and a forum member provided these measurements to me, which seems very low compared to what I measured but I did check it multiple times? 625.5mm - 24 5/8" front 614.4mm - 24 3/16" rear What's your stock height? The instructions say to set to 595 mm front & 600 mm rear. My car in March 2020, after ~ 4,500 miles and sitting all winter measured https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...8&postcount=29 My car at delivery with the MPCs installed, 595 mm front, and 600 mm rear. The latter two points may not be of interest to all, but the first one looks good. |

It sits 20 mm lower in the rear when all the way down (in my case) and the front can be pretty much anything you want. Visually that's quite a bit lower but not slammed - just right. Functionally, it's perfect, too. I've never scratched on anything, never had trouble with any speed bumps or inclines (unlike Sachs coilovers that I tried before). I wouldn't want to go any lower or higher, and I think it's the sweet spot, and the default damping settings, out of the box, are spot on for daily driving, too.

So this is my 2020 M2C- car has the MP Suspension installed. Now my car was corner balanced and aligned perfectly. Also running 10mm future Classic spacers with future Classic studs.
MP was installed with only tick over 500miles - car now has 1300 or so miles. Pic was taken last week. I feel like the height is perfect- |

Thanks! It's the Sterckenn CF front lip. I ordered it from IND. I was shocked to how light it was. |

Having tried other coilovers before that allowed for a lower drop, I can tell you this: you need to think twice if you really need a drop lower than what you get with the MP coilovers. Else, if you push the car hard you will rub. Drop another 3-4mm, stock tires, no spacers, no nothing, you will rub if pushed hard. The MP drop is the reasonable maximum drop you want if you plan to push the car and/or have passengers, have spacers, etc. It may be moot point.

*for TD's only though so no laptimes per se based on higher entry / exit speeds @ turns on tracks stock then with MPerf coilovers Car's balance and grip are both improved plus tyres (esp fronts) last longer despite being made to work harder
