This picture is such a bad example of what a Mineral Grey M car looks like with wheels that actually fit the fenders. Any of those colors with those wheels would look lame.

I guess I'm pretty biased

Awesome car!!! I will find a MG F80 M3 lightly used in the very near future...

Straight fire. This is the color for this car... Mineral White would have been nice, but out of the 4 colors, this is the best imo! (I am a bit biased tho...)

That looks perfect, I'm 100% sure I would choose the M3 over the M4 for the fenders alone. The "tumors" don't do it for me .

What an agressive looking car.

Alright looking, this car needs more exotic colors to pop. But i guess it's ok for people that want to be discreet?

Not everybody is trying to stand out in today's daunting crowd.

I personally think the car looks best in MG or Black.

Carbon Black would have been off the hook.

I saw an orange Mini Cooper yesterday that appeared to be the same color as the orange M2 that was seen on these pages long ago!

Agree a bright flashy color would look really good on this car.

M Performance stripes might give an otherwise unsurprising MG car a touch of surprise and excitement. Add the Performance exhaust system and the black kidney grills to add a bit of intrigue and strength. Together, these should transform the car from a wallflower to, at least, a presence.
Obviously all personal opinions here however j agree. I am not a big fan of silver of gray but prefer silver certainly. A nice metal flake gray like MG is cool but I am totally not into some of the concrete mix , battleship grays that are out there like that Grigio telesto and the color that's on the Toyota scion.

MG does look better on the larger cars like the gran coupe shown and f80 shown here.

As I stated previously, owners of MG and BSM will find themselves owning even more rare cars as white and LBB will likely dominate sales.

I would love to have seen something like Jerez black, Jet black, Tanzanite , or Azurite over BSM.

Wow, your car is one rare unicorn. It's very similar style to my E92, which is Sparkling Graphite on Bamboo Beige. I've only seen one similar, although it was DCT and had a sunroof

And I agree, do the right things to the car and Mineral Grey would pop. I don't imagine the M2 in any color would look that fantastic in the same lighting conditions and less than optimal wheels.

totally agree about the old school flares. prefer the madness of the old flares!!
I just like how drastic the flares look on the 1M and e90M3. That was the first criticism I had on the 2 series when it came out. There was no flare at all. Even on the 128i/135i the flare was more evident than the 228i/235i.
What I do love about the M2 is that it does have a flare, albeit subtle due to the slow rising angle. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.

About the color... LBB, AW, BSM are my choices. Need to see BSM in person though. My very first impression of MG was that I didn't notice it was an M2. For some, that is a bonus. But for me, I would want to have a color that would accentuate the lines of the body. This doesn't do it for me. Some may argue that AW will do the same, but an AW 1M looks pretty bad ass still.

Although I'm not a fan of MG I think it will work well with the carbon and black exterior M Performance parts. I've ordered LBB but I don't see the M Performance parts working that well due to the chameleon like light colour. I really like the rear spoiler but Im not sure how easy it will be to get it painted LBB.
Also as stated these photos don't show off MG to its best. My local stealer has a 3 series Touring on the showroom floor and it looks good under the bright lights. It's still a grey mind and IMO hides the M2's lines too much. Definitely for the buyer looking to stay under the radar.

I believe it's a member's on M3/4 post. I was just using it for an example for the stance and flares.

The silverstone 2, I took photos of at an auto show this year.

I prefer SGM because it's got a bit of purple in it, which I really like. The difference is very small though. Either that or I'm color blind. Here's my car next to an MG F30:

The purple tint is the worst part of MG in my opinion...

Wow your E92 is on point! Yeah I've always been a fan of the wolf in sheeps clothing look. Plus I hate getting tickets

Weird I always see more purple in SGM, just depends on lighting I guess

I actually wish both my Sparkling Graphite and Techno Violet were MORE purple MORE often.

But I also like Austin Yellow, so I've probably go no sense of style

Let's eat our hearts out: the orange M2 test mule spotted in April 2015.

It would have suited the M2 very well.

Wow never saw that picture before. What the hell is going on there? It's clearly a pretty early mule because it still has the M235i rear bumper and those tacked on fender flares. Maybe this was before they ruled out an orange/red for the M2?
