They're very different cars, but I think it'd be so hard to pass up the new Sonata Turbo, especially considering it's much faster, much newer, and mile free. It gets better gas mileage, has a sufficiently stylish interior (better than the Lexus's imo, though not in material quality), and don't all Hyundais come with a godlike warranty? The new Sonata is getting accolades thrown at it left and right; resale value should be strong.

Just saw that the Sonata's color selection is white...I think that's the worst color for it. White drowns out all the sculpting and makes it look rather plebeian. Looks are subjective though.

The CPO IS250 is way slower but I think it's way better looking (IMO) than the Sonata. The nav system in the Sonata is of course more modern than the IS250 |

I went with the is350 because of style and reliability. Truth to told I want more performance out of the Lexus but in no way I want to step into another N54/N55 after my first. For the money I rather step up to a cayman or GT-R next. As of right now every time I approach my IS I love the way it looks, almost forgetting its a sedan.
My sister has 09 IS250, starfire white with beige interior, acceleration is sufficient, no where near being exhilarating but her car is lighter and feels and drives more agile than my 350. An is250 with F sports package will be a fun car. I did a couple laps in one at Taste of Lexus event. Do you want more performance or look? It's a emotional thing. I would just drive the 135i as a commuter.

Bummer, seems like the herd who jumped in at 08 is thinning out.

IS350 is a sweet looking car. Very nicely proportioned. They already offer more aggressively tuned suspension. Now, if only they offered a 6 speed manual transmission.

That's a damn good deal. I'd take an IS350 over a Sonata 2.0T, but not an IS250. Check out ClubLexus for some sick (and some shitty) modded ISs.

I was looking at IS's for my wife. She doesn't need the 350 power-wise, but one thing that shocked me about the 250 was its fuel economy. It's pretty terrible for a car of that size and that power (deficiency). Plus, it's pretty damn slow. If a car is small and slow, it better get damn good fuel economy. If it's small and gets bad fuel economy, it better be fast. If it gets bad fuel economy and is slow, it better be large.
