Please how to put N without starting the engine?

Brake then push the lever to the left and hold it there. It will change to N

Not working in my car. Only -/+ icon start to blinking on lever, but it still stay in P position. Is it normal in car like this, that is it not possible?

Doesn't work on my '21 M2C either. Would be great if it did though.
YouTube is not your friend. It shows how it works in E series cars, and how you can remove part of the shifter trim to move a plastic lever on F10 M5 DCT.
F8x DCT you have to get under the car and physically move and cable tie the lever on the transmission, similar to ZF 8HP autos.

It's honestly the dumbest design ever. The e9x dct had a mechanism underneath the gear lever dust cover to put it into neutral and they removed it in the f8x gen. Who's gonna get underneath the car in an emergency to do this..smh

Used this feature several times on my E92 M3

When I got the M2C I thought it would be the same.....

My biggest fear is my oil cooler will leak and by the time the tow truck comes the car will timeout and put it into park automatically lol then I'm gonna have to crank the engine for a second to put it into neutral because no way anyone getting underneath it on the side of the highway lol
