I miss my 991.1, had every bolt on possible. Needed different turbos and fuel upgrades to make it faster. the 992 is straight up a master piece.
How does your comp feel in comparison to the Porsche now?

Like does the acceleration feel almost or as brutal?

The Porsche was a rocket from a standstill but ran out of breathe up top since it was the 991.1's there turbos suck big time, the 991.2's got better ones. Had race suspension on it so it drive so stiff, if I kept it I would have put stock suspension back in it. Wife hated the way it drove, hence i got rid of it.

Hard to compare the tow, I feel as though the m2 comp can kill me much easier which I kind of enjoy over the Porsche but I could throw into a turn with great excitement.

I think the porsche ran a little quicker 60-130 on 93 since it had a lot of mods. just looked it up she ran a 7.55 in 61 degree at -190 da. They do feel about the same though, will admit I do miss the ceramic brakes, both did they work amazing and no brake dust.

Lovely motor! what made you make the change?

Gotta say though, the M2 Comp is a serious bit of kit. You're talking supercar level performance for really not that much money or hard work when you think about it.

That was many cars (moons) ago. I normally don't stay in them long, just like to play with them lol.

Man, love you keep adding content to your thread. Pretty cool you’re getting faster too!! Keep it up!!

Yeah but them times are actually not the best for the 992, the guy was pretty annoyed.

He since ran in better conditions and blew them away.

My 991.2 TTS ran around these times with moderate DA consistently. I had a few hero runs that were quicker, but it generally ran mid 6’s 60-130 and 10.1x 1/4 mile passes. Overall, Porsche is literally the best car on the road, but for a fraction of the price, these lil M2’s are pretty damn fun!

It's all good, though a 200k Porsche should run that stock, been spoiled with the wifes plaid everything else is just slow unless really modded out. Here's a 60-130 of it for reference.

No disrespect intended, but I’m more impressed with your lil M2 running low 8’s than a lifeless car that’s fast. Zero soul to electric cars… no thanks, I’ll pass.

It’s all relative… all my Mclaren’s were faster than my Porsches, and the fastest cars I’ve ever owned. But to me there’s more about a car that fast, it’s the experience you get, or how it makes you feel. Your Tesla is stupid fast, but to me, it doesn’t tick that box for me. I understand your point though as well. Anyway, that’s all I’ll say about that, your thread, your car… I’m just here to cheer you on with the progress you’ve made with your M2.

Bingo, we've all have had or have other cars so its hard to compared. One thing we all can agree on is how enjoyable these m2 comps are. Moving forward, BMC filters are now in. Wishing i had better weather to do some dragy runs just to see how much if any the E30 file makes.

Did you use stock air box? Just swap filters?

Stock air boxes, want to do some mods to the stock air box like those 3d printed inlets but haven't sourced them yet.

I’m still not convinced an aftermarket air box, or a different style charge filter would make more power… more noise, sure! But I doubt it’ll make more power.

The stock air box on my wife’s X3MC is supposedly about as good as you can get from a flow perspective, and I’d wager this setup is pretty good as well straight from BMW.

Totally agree with you there. No need to upgrade at this power level.

Still loving the swf high da/humidity lol. Actually flashed it back to stage 2 ots 93 file, just for ease of filling up and I didn't really noticed much of a butt dyno difference. Was hoping for some type of cold front to come through but nothing. Looking to do more mods just not sure which direction. I have looking into crank hub but still haven't picked my poison yet. Would like to also do some exhaust mods soon. Hell if i could do one major mod it would be a single turbo setup lol

I'm still just trying to do my infinite research on downpipes before I pull the trigger... I might just order the ones you're using for now, and see how they act long term. They're certainly priced right! I'm waiting on one other tuner to give me a price on a full E85 tune using EcuTek as opposed to BM3, then I can move forward making my final decisions.

For sure! The guy I'm discussing tuning my car is big in the Supra world currently. I'll either do full catted downpipes with a mid pipe, or I'll change out the rear section of the exhaust altogether. Decisions decisions...
