Seems only this video has those arch extensions, cant find any other pictures with them on. Copying Nismo 370Z I guess, but regardless I would be interested in these as well =)

I'm curious as to what purpose they actually serve. If they were meant to be mudflaps, they should be positioned behind the tire, not on top. Also they ruin the lines of the car.

Doubt they're meant to serve as mudflaps. In the USA there are regulations on how far the fender must be extend past the wheel to meet regulations. Many cars now are adding that piece to meet that regulation in markets that require it. I believe I learned about this through a Doug Demuro review. Forget which exact video though.

As gotF1 said, it’s called the wheel arch extension and I was told it’s for certain markets only where regulations don’t allow wheels/tires to protrude past the fender.
Look at the CS thread.. I asked about that piece and there were several answers. I, too, like that piece and would like to have a set for my M2C if it becomes available. |

Have you tried pepboys? They seem to have a nice assortment. I'm partial to Yosemite Sam but not everyone's a connoisseur.

everyone is free to spend their own money but why would you spend 300 on something that literally exists only for regulation? It's not for protection or looks but I guess the latter is subjective if that's what you're after.
The law states the top of the fender must extend past the wheel a specific amount so this is the easy fix from the factory |

Not digging them... makes the car look like old cars that used to have a trim running along the fenders and also adds to the appearance of wheel gap

Here you go Chris, $310.36 of your finest US dollars. I'm assuming it uses the original screw and clips as the kit does not come with any mounting hardware. https://www.bmwpartspros.com/p-bmw-o...et-51778084867
