Doesn't appear to be left foot braking either.

The mag isn't in the stores yet overhere, in Germany today. I hope next week tuesday. Anybody here who knows Sportauto's Nordschleife laptime?

Cheers

Thanks.

8:01 fair enough irl on a damp NS..

That's just the 50HP and 100Nm difference(vs M3/4) on Döttinger Höhe

So congrats to all M3/4 drivers. Not kidding!

This is so great, that Hockenheim 1:12.2 laptime.

Agility, dynamics and still no canibalism. Well done BMW //M

Cheers
Robin

They do dyno those Supertest cars.

Guesstimation(?) isn't something the Germans invented you know

----

1M had front downforce(xxkg) an a lot more lift at the back. This is more balanced but still a tad lift on both sides.

As said before, Sport Auto (and Auto Bild) dyno the cars for their Supertest. Sport Auto allways use a MAHA dyno, the best and most accurate dynos out there.

A lot of race drivers sit very close to the steering wheel. The driver here is Christian Gebhardt, who besides being the guy who has taken over driving duties after Horst von Sauma, also is a racing driver and has driven in the VLN cup on the Nurburgring for some time. He has driven for the Aston Martin Test Centre (Nurburgring) team, Mini Deutschland and other smaller teams.

While he probably isn't a Senna, he is most likely a better race driver than most of us on the forums...

Not questioning his ability, just commenting on the distance between the wheel and him and how folded up his arms are.

He is about right, looks at NASCAR, they all sit close to the wheel. I read race car drivers like to able to move their arms without shoulder moving off the seat.

Granted, race car drivers wears helmet so they can afford to sit close, in street cars I wouldn't want to sit so close to the airbag.

Which is a very common seating position for many race car drivers... Just look at the NASCAR drivers and many other touring car series.

Like in V8 Supercars (Australia)

And in DTM (Germany)

And in the M235i cup in the VLN series at Nurburgring (Gebhardt raced a M235i at the 24h race in 2015)

Or the BMW M4 GTS driver here:
