I have to put mine on the lowest setting just to use it. So yeah, I believe your dad. My Lexus had great heated seats as well, but they took longer to come on.

The M2 seat heaters are definitely better than my previous BMWs and my Audi and MB. They heat up fast, and I turn them down much quicker than the others

My M235i had seat heaters as well. I suspect the actual heating element is probably the same, but since the M2C's seats are a bit thinner, I definitely feel the burn more than the M235i.
