Just enabled the heated steering wheel in SoCal

Only got the exec package for the headlights.

It’s been ridiculously cold in SoCal this whole winter(56 deg atm) and I figured to try it out the heated steering wheel.

Very impressed, it actually made the drive pretty comfortable without turning on the heater HVAC.

Try it out boys.

Ditto that. Used it this morning with my seat heater. It's been in the 30's in the morning where I live in SD recently. I really like the seat heaters in the car. They cover the entire seat unlike other cars I own.

Yes!!! I was just saying this to my girl the other day. She has a Lexus NX and I feel like the heating coils in that seat are directly centered in the seat unlike the M2 seats which seem to have the coils all around. It could just be my imagination and the bucketing of the seats but these are some of the nicest heated seats I've sat in.

I'm a tad jealous of the seat coolers though on her car

High of 20° here yesterday, low of 3°. But, it's warmed up considerably today and is currently 30°. NBD here so long as you have heated wheel, seats, winter tires, big jacket with hat, scarf, gloves and boots.

23 this morning. I've been using the heated steering wheel daily. Didnt realize the value of one until I got one a few years ago. Priceless!

100% agree. I use to scoff at people that claimed they needed heated seats in So Cal, but now that I had a taste....

I’ve been known to drive with the seat heater on, steering wheel heat on, and air conditioner at full blast. I regret nothing.

I felt like kind of a tool paying for the exec package. In my mind, it was a bunch of features that I thought i'd like but also wouldn't really need or use that much.

Well, turns out I use the heated steering wheel just about every day. I love that it never gets too warm either, my hands will get sweaty if they're too hot, but the steering wheel always stays in that perfect zone.

The heated seats in this car are the best i've ever sat it. Heaven on my lower back when its feeling kind of sore. My girlfriend has always hated heated seats, but even she's been won over by them and their wonderfully even distribution.

Same! Well, that and I go to work really early in the morning (in the car at 4) and at that time it's cold, so it's the first thing I do. And the best part is, it's already getting warm in 30 seconds or less!

YES to both!! Our IS's seat heaters don't compare to the M2 at all. The two functions I miss from the Lexus though are the cooled seats like you said and the auto angle mirrors that angle when you go into reverse. My old IS had it and it made it so easy to reverse into parking spaces.

I also like how the heated seat will get pretty warm at first and slowly ease off - I can leave it on for 30 min+ and it doesn't get "too hot."

Now for all the socal-ers, I spent 5 years in a much colder climate not too long ago (snow jackets necessary even without the snow it was that cold), and at the start of this winter I thought "oh wow I forgot how warm winter is in socal" but once you re-acclimate it really does feel cold. Funny how that works.

I mean, I get the joke, but just to throw it out there, cold brew actually isn't THAT cold. They don't put ice in it so it's more like, I guess beer, but it warms up after 15-20 minutes. It's not like iced coffee which gets much colder.

Moved from SoCal back to Northern-ish Europe last year...amazing how your perspective on 50* F changes based on the norms. Nowadays if it hits 50F I'm going to the GD beach for the heat wave

The auto angle happens with our M2. Make sure the side mirror setting is to set to modify the drivers side one and the passenger side one will tilt in reverse.

One of my favorite things to do in this car is take an early morning canyon drive with the windows down, the steering wheel / seat warmers on and the heater blasting. It can be 48 out (California) and I'm just toasty, enjoying the sounds of the car.

I've use the steering wheel heater a few times. The seat heater is good for the cold and pulled back muscles.

Yes, SoCal people have a warped sence of weather. If it goes below 60F it's really cold. If goes below 50F it is a state emergency!

I wish I could be fortunate enough to say that Right now in Maryland its getting into the 20's and 30's. I use the steering wheel heater as much as possible! Its one of my must haves for any car I get.

Whenever I go out on what I call "Winter Sneaky Runs", I always use the Heated Steering Wheel, Max Heated Seats, and set HVAC to 80F, lol.

Makes the drive way more comfortable for sure.

Winter Sneaky Runs must comply with:

1.) All snow/ice melted off the streets.
2.) A hard rain has washed all the salt/sand off the streets.
3.) Outside temps are above 40F.

The heated seats and steering wheel work so good that they ALMOST make up for the fact that there is no remote start. ALMOST.

One thing my dad would always say "No one knows how to do heated seats like the Germans. They truly know how to burn your ass."

The Russian version of the M2 actually pumps hot motor oil through the wheel and seats. I had mine converted and it's been a godsend in the frigid 65F weather we've been having lately in Miami.
