How many of you ordered the 3 little extra options??
My HEA has the Wheel Locks, First Aid Kit, and LED Door Projectors....
Really only wanted the First Aid Kit....just to have it. Wheel locks are wheel locks. LED Door Projectors I think I'm going to revert back to stock before taking delivery. Anyone else spec these things?? |

I'm lucky they let me have one at all. No point in being picky and getting to my own options.

My dealer throws in wheel locks for everyone for free. The other stuff just weighs too much.

I'm in same boat. Came across a car someone else configured and it was almost exactly what I wanted and so I immediately committed. I didn't know what the LED door projector option meant, but figured it was something benign like lights to show you your way into the car. Or maybe interior ambient lights near feet. However, I looked it up and to my horror realized that it is the most ostentatious, tacky option conceivable. For those that don't know, it is basically a bat-signal that projects a Giant M symbol on the ground when the door is open. I don't understand why they would make this or who would choose this of their own free will. Regardless, my car has it. Does anyone know if you can easily remove the transparency which contains the "m" image, or remove the bulb. Looking for a cheap way to mitigate this. Thanks!

Thanks. Probably. I certainly hope so. I'd be embarrassed for anyone to ever see it even once. Car will be here in a couple weeks, just trying to get a game plan so I can immediately disable this. Its the worst. Wouldn't mind an entry light, though, that would be functional

I looked up videos on youtube. Seems to be a plug and play kinda thing. Use a flat head to get it out and then plug the stock part back in. Waste of $150 lol.

I'm getting wheel locks and led projectors (not by choice). It's like when the kid comes by the house selling wrapping paper for some school fundraiser. I'm like here's $20 I'll pass on the cheap wrapping paper. I chalk it up to a $300 market adjustment. $300 I can live with.
