I agonized over this for weeks. I always opt for moon roof on my cars, but for sports cars a roof is a no (usually, but hey its personal). I looked at both with and without, and I'm one those windows down roof open kind of guys. I chose no moon roof on the M2, as I think it looks like a real sports car with uninterrupted lines (yes, the roof shape/lines are beautiful too). I haven't regretted it yet.

After seeing OPs pic, I'm even happier with my decision. He chose no roof again, so thats a good sign.

BTW OP, the black looks stunning

I see what you say.. I think also that seems maybe slightly better without it, I'd probably have to go and see on purpose with it and without it. Have time until 2021 productions lots starts :S

You and Artemis both got rid of your MG OG M2's for a black M2C and with 763M wheels...

See here: Replaced my M2 (6MT - MG) with an M2C (M-DCT - BSM)

P.S. Not a fan of the wing. The M2C is a classy sporty car, the wing makes it look boy racer.

Love the wheels! I personally prefer my Mperf Carbon spoiler. As stated above, the wing is a bit much for me. Maybe I'm just getting old?

So the real question is how much of a difference is your M2C from your old M2?

Black looks gorgeous but a major pain in the arse to keep clean. The "no moon roof" gives your car a sleek and continuous flow and it saves a few lbs. Less is more, especially with the wing. It comes down to preference, but your car looks perfect right now...well maybe a reflector delete might take it to 11.

Reply to differences between the M2 and the M2 Comp

The 2017 M2 had a Dinan Stage 1 and the Dinan Cold Air Package, so it was pushing nearly the HP of the Comp. That being said, the 2017 had more low end "grunt" and a much deeper exhaust sound. The Comp comes on at higher rpms and sounds like a winder!!! Had trouble seeing the instruments under most light conditions on the 2017, the Comp - totally visible digital! Love the Comp seats and the back up camera is handy. Bottom line, they are both great cars, Comp has the evolution edge.

Any thoughts on suspension, steering, or ride quality differences? If any.

Got rid of my M3 for a black M2c as well and I hated the wheels. 437 are perfect for me.

It's an analog gauge that's backlight behind tinted glass. That's why you can't see the gauges when the car is off. Take a closer look at the instrument cluster with some decent lighting before you start the car. I prefer analog gauges, but IMO this is a nice touch to keep them analog yet contemporary looking.

The suspension and ride quality are virtually the same, not so for the steering. As you use different programming levels the steering can be heavy at low speeds and very accurate and precise at higher speeds. I think it is a significant improvement over the 2017 in this area.
