Petty admission: I partly like HS because it’s a very obvious signifier that the car is a comp. SO is obviously similar, but blue m2 comps kinda underwhelm me. Super petty, because the regular M2 is absolutely a badass car in it’s own right and the blue is objectively pretty, but if I’m honest with myself, I’m a judgey prick. |

HS looks great and I get compliments constantly but if I ordered mine I'd have had black... or if they offered something like Porsche's Carmine Red I would have ordered that, even though I typically stick to black, white, grey, silver, etc.
Love that HS is easy to keep clean and it's both standout and stealthy IMO. Dislike that everyone has the same colour, but if you remove the "competition" badge it still looks like an M2C . SO is nice on the road and very unique. LBB looks great on this car compared with the standard M2, but don't let me be the judge since I dislike almost every metallic blue I've ever seen on a car. White looks sweet on these too. Gives it a track/race car look. Don't need to worry about that excess weight of the metallic flake, so feel free to add that sunroof! |

Yes, having seen the M2 and M2C in every color, I think the body looks best in black somehow... but I just can’t bring myself to get another black car. LBB for me then.

I ordered Hockenheim Silver.
Then I saw the video below... The Black Sapphire silhouette, surfing along a ribbon of asphalt through the UK countryside, just spoke to me. And my last three vehicles were silver. |

So, I love my HS M2, but the damn muffler is so ugly. I know there were threads here of people spray painting their muffler. I can seem to find them. Does anyone have a link to that thread?

16 pages! I do think it looks better, but i'm not sure if it bothers me enough to actually paint it. https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ainted&page=16 Great picture from that thread. |

My thing is, if I'm going to have it painted, I want it properly done, which requires the removal of the entire muffler so all sides can be sanded/prepped and then properly painted. I'm OCD like that. |

just bought a HS a few days ago. Absolutely stunning color which changes depending on the light. Outside it can be white with gray or blue tones. In the dark it can be a milky gray or chalky white. I would never have bought a white car, but this thing is just amazing. I’m not sure if you had a question OP, but yes, get HS. It’s beautiful.
Totally agree with your thoughts,I picked mine up on Saturday and was amazed the way the colour changed in different lighting conditions. I don’t like it ........I love it !!

I have a 19 HS. Traded in my 18 mineral grey. I really miss my mineral grey although the quality of the HS paint job is WAY better. The mineral grey was beautiful but had a lot of lemon peel comparatively. The HS paint finish is really well done, looks like a still lake. It just doesn’t look as sinister as the mineral grey....
