There are duties and taxes to be paid when it crosses the border. If it's brought over by an individual then the speedometer does not need to be changed. If brought over by a broker then the speedometer does need to be changed. As I said, I'm not sure of the all of the specifics, but it is definitely doable and with the exchange rate difference there are some serious deals to be had by cross-border shopping. There's a thread over on the 1M board (by NachoB I think) that goes in to the specifics on how he imported a 1M from Canada to the US. |
