This is what happens when you're eagerly awaiting the delivery of you M2 and all you can do is read the owner's manual in the meantime. Guess it paid off in the end!

Thanks for the info!

I used to "kick start" my old manual POS Nissan Sentra but while rolling down a hill.. That was an exhilarating experience..

Glad to know it's also possible in a new BMW.. 😁

Same as an automatic (but with brake instead of clutch).
Wait so with my foot off the clutch press the start button twice? Everytime I do that it just turns the car on and immediately shuts it right off. Is that because the e9x cars had a key slot?
Works on cars with comfort access too (key slot can be empty). A good way to know that you're in "Ignition On" mode is by pressing until the fuel gauge swings to read correctly.

EDIT: Thanks to below post, we now it's one press of the start button on F-series vehicles whereas it was 2 on E's!

one press makes it go full on, full gauge sweep. The next press if fully off. The ignition system iirc is much different on the F series vs. the E series.

I don't think the fuel is a problem at all, as with no boost the car won't even realize it. Driven like a regular car for a tank will cause you no issues. In fact, it might do you some good to drive the car normally just for a tank, that way when you're able to really drive it hard after filling up with 93 you get to experience how fantastic boost is all over again.

I’d drive it to about 2/3s full and just add some E85. Should get you back to baseline.
